Okinawans eat pork or fish with every meal and their diet has nothing to do with that food pyramid, I personally have no idea what that poster is talking about.

When the food pyramid was created, people were actually doing manual labor and didn’t just sit at a desk all day. These people needed carbs.
Also lots of fiber in grains.

The American one was invented in 1992
Euro countries had the first ones in the 70s and 80s

Why was the pyramid even needed in the first place? Nobody asked for it.

    >Amid high food prices in 1972, Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare developed the idea of "basic foods" that were both cheap and nutritious, and "supplemental foods" that added nutrition missing from the basic foods. Anna-Britt Agnsäter, chief of the "test kitchen" for Kooperativa Förbundet (a cooperative Swedish retail chain), held a lecture the next year on how to illustrate these food groups. Attendee Fjalar Clemes suggested a triangle displaying basic foods at the base. Agnsäter developed the idea into the first food pyramid, which was introduced to the public in 1974 in KF's Vi magazine.
It was entirely a cost thing. The "slave food" meme is real.

We evolved to eat meat all year around, grains next, and vegetables below grains.

He's saying it's not good nutrition to eat lots of vegetables because he thinks cave men didn't have that much access to them. Only a ketolard would make that kind of argument. And then he blames the israelites for... telling people to eat vegetables.

      try vertical diet
      otherwise
know your maintenance calories, +500 cals for bulk, -500 for cut
ideally get 1g protein per lb of body mass
rest of calories equal between carbs / fat
or just eat eggs + oats and milk in the morning, chicken & rice rest of day, protein-rich dairy in the evening

That's pretty close to what I already eat except I eat quinoa instead of rice. Is that good or bad?

about same. just be sure to calculate you maintenance calorie intake and eat accordingly (eg at https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html )
