My dad went through chemo therapy this summer and it seemed pretty fricking brutal tbh. He had barely any energy, lost all his hair, had dry skin, was very easily irritable and was constantly nauseous. He also could barely eat but I think that was specifically because he had throat cancer. The good thing is the effects pretty much went away a few weeks after the treatment ended so just soldier through it and you'll come out ok. Best of luck, cancer's a b***h.

saying words like "natural" when talking about medicine is embarrassing. it's literally an appeal to nature, a fallacy. just because something is "natural" doesn't mean it will lead to positive health outcomes. also the term literally means nothing, you should be focusing on outcome data, regardless if something is made in a lab or extracted from a berry/fruit/root.

Even a lot of pharmaceuticals made in labs are derived from very natural sources or were originally found in naturally ocuring sources. I think the issue is more brainlets conflating "natural" with "homeopathic"

Ask your doctor about using ashwagandha as a co-therapy; I know it's been a meme supplement recently on fitness social media but I've been using it for the past decade and actually one of the more mainstream uses it's had in the western world has been as a supplemental therapy alongside chemo because it is so effective at destroying tumor cells. Beyond that, get as much ginger into your system as possible for antiemesis (nausea suppression). Best of luck, I mean that

Did some research on this actually. Muscles are a component to our immune system. They are antigen presenting cells(APCs) which help notice and capture cancer cells and bring them to our immune system. While I can’t present any statistical data showing that having more lean mass reduces cancer, theoretically it does so do with that what you will.

OP if you can, I would suggest looking into hyperthermic treatmetns with a dual course of chemo. From papers I have read around the subject, they tend to look very good for the rates of remission in the tumours. Though, if I may ask, what form of cancer do you have?
Also don't listen to the le natural remedies scit/x/os; that is the sure fire way of making sure that your tumour will kill you.

      Anonymous

If you really want me to go all /x/ I'll tell you that you can cure cancer with only your mind by following the hermetic principals.

Taking magnesium helps your body fight cancer. Its also part of the chemo wienertail
Aloe has been shown to reduce cancer
Herbs such as lavender can also reduce cancer
Eating organically is a key part of natural healing. Organic eating can cure many diseases/problems but it most importantly can prevent them as well.

Remember that prevention is always better and easier than curing. Live a healthy lifestyle. Don't flood your body with junk and/or pharmaceutical drugs. You'll never have to worry about cancer in the first place

holy shit you're moronic, stop trying to kill OP

Chemo is literally a death race. A game of who dies first? Cancer or the host? It's the last resort because most patients die from the chemo and complications from chemo. Why put yourself in that situation. I can bet my life on natural remedies curing me. It's how we survived in the past. Notice how cancer was never a big problem in the old days. Only now as we have processed and bastardized everything we eat and touch is cancer a problem and will continue to be so. Sure modern medicine has helped us to get rid of several big killers from those times, but we have also created a bigger unkillable monster.

Use the medical system very sparingly. Even antibiotics should be used sparingly. They have a notorious rate of diminishing returns when used constantly.
Avoid daily medications. Avoid seeing the doctor unless it's necessary. Learn how to cure your problems naturally. Doctors should only be visited for major severe physical injuries

Chemotherapy is poisoning your entire body just to try to kill small clumps of cancer cells. There are better ways, switch to a high fat zero carb diet and do regular 72-hour fasts. This will starve the cancer (which feeds ravenously on sugar) and boost your immune system (to fight the cancer) without poisoning your whole body. I'm not a doctor so if you follow my advice and die it's not my fault.

It's very taxing, it will exhaust you physically, mentally, and emotionally. That said, if you can bring yourself to continue staying active and maintain a healthy diet, stay hydrated, and generally take care of yourself I'd think it would make thing more bearable.
I wish I could offer more info but I really can't, anecdotally I've heard someone with testicle cancer say smoking a bunch of pot was the only thing that got them through chemotherapy, and I also recently got my mom to try using it and it was the first time I've seen her smile and generally happy since she got diagnosed 2 years ago.

          >Data from the American Cancer Society showed that the number of people dying in the US from cancer in 2013 was 580,350, and in 2020 it was 606,520, an increase of 4.3% [8,9]. The US population increase over this same period was 4.5%, indicating no real progress in cancer management. Cancer is predicted to overtake heart disease as the leading cause of death in Western societies. Is the failure to reduce the cancer death rate due to an incorrect theory on the origin of the disease?

Number of people dying isn't the same thing as mortality, unhealthy lifestyles and causes of cancer are on the rise, true. Mortality - that is, how likely you are to die if you get it - has dropped sharply. Cancer management in the public health sense is different to cancer in the oncology sense.
