Why do they do them that way? Fedor did it too so there must be some secret method to the madness.

Works the serratus more relative to the chest and tricepts.

Why would you concentrate on the serratus?

        This is not me

Works the serratus more relative to the chest and tricepts.

Its a mix of we not wanting to put much efford in our non-specific combat training (we generally save as much energy as possible for the sparring rounds) + laziness to do a full rom rep.

Those muay thai workout can perfectly take 4 hours a day 6 times a week, so we are almost aways fryed and tired

How do you deal with overtraining, injuries, staleness, etc? Whatever you want to call it. Is it just a matetr of lazing out whenever you can and just get the volume in no matter what? Or is there some regeneration method like sucking off ladyboys every day or whatever?

            >How do you deal with overtraining, injuries, staleness, etc?
We don't, I fricked up both of my knees before 20, developed shoulder impingement and also back problems. Most fighters retire while still relatively young for a reason.

Thought to be an important muscle for punches
You can also find videos of fedor and other similar athletes (eastern euro wrestlers & fighters) doing other high rep bodyweight exercises at shorter rom, like pullups & dips
Imo it's probably more to do with the way fighters do everything to total exhaustion because that's what fighting in a ring is like. In muay thai we'd always end sessions with pressup or situp burnouts, or planks held while the coach went around kicking you in the stomach, hollow body on the back and the coach would stand on your stomach etc.
New wave s&c like low volume training is at fundamental odds with fight training intuition, because in fights conditioning is everything. That's why the pro fighters even at the highest level still do tons of roadwork and everything no matter how many soience-based s&c coaches say it's "sub-optimal"

Cardio in any martial arts is very important.
But yeah, there's other forma of cardio.
But it's also conditioning your joints for impact.
