So would general strength be irrelevant? Would this athleticism translate well into weightlifting?

endurance is good for carrying heavy loads over long distances, also for running long distances

if it's zombies or raiders or whatever you have to fight, endurance and physical fitness is ideal

would also help to be strong

DYEL but with high endurance for cardio.

skinny runner/climber pray you knees hold up with rucking you can't really afford to leave food or supplies behind. It'll be easier to evade them if you can put sheer climbs between you and them so they have to pile up to get over it. Keep enough rope to pull up your supplies so you don't have to scale things with their full weight.

WHy does no one ever use off-road bicycles in these films/tv shows?
Silent, efficient way of getting around and much further distances can be travelled without any fuel

I didn't hate it, but there were enough character inconsistencies, motivation issues, and too many instances where they just flat abandon the all sense of realism for me to really invest in it. The gameplay or interfacing wasn't really bad or good either. I don't think it was under or overrated it got the 6-7 it deserved which is rare instance where that happens.

Chains rust, innertubes pop, having true the spokes, probably have to ride a fixie to not get the skidder sound while going down hill or the squeak of breaks. Which will definitely be noticed with how quiet the world is. The wind in your ears also might stop you from hear the bullshit you're going into before you too deep in it. Also riding a riding a fixie automatically makes you a homosexual and with no craft beer to put down your onions maw you mise well join the zombies.

Well yea but its the same argument as guns mate, they're going to run out eventually but might as well use while they work.
Point is that they're quieter than a car but less intense than running for long distance

well I think you're assuming there's going to be clear paths anywhere. Bikes would be great with lots of unobstructed paths with nothing to grab at or get stuck in your spokes or if roads weren't littered with cars that are probably visual cover for a lot of zombies and they'll probably naturally follow them because they're flat spaces that offer unhindered movement. I'm just saying like a town bike with baskets would probably be more utilitarian because you're going to be walking it most of the time so you don't get ambushed.

Need high endurance, but a lot of what is needed would be mental endurance
Definitely need grip strengh and ability to carry heavy loads for long distances
A lot depends on fighting style, if guns are still an option its fairly different from hand to hand or handheld weapon combat

In a zombie setting you probably need both hand-to-hand and guns cause you don't want to waste bullets on zombies. So really you just need to be good at everything physical

    Bloatmaxxed, obviously.

    >can go long periods without eating thanks to fat reserves
    >strong as frick
    >can literally push a pack of walkers away with one arm
    >does not need to run like a coward since you could cleave your way through a horde like a fricking ogryn (can also put heavy chainmail armor on and be able to cope with the extra weight)
    >this also means you can carry and wield heavier melee weapons
    >can easily break down doors or fortify your base with heavy objects
    >animal predators will fear your large, domineering presence
    >people naturally gravitate towards bigger people
    >can easily physically overwhelm members of your group who do not agree with you
    >can carry heavier backpacks
    >can deadlift cars in emergancies, for example if you need to change a tire quickly or if someone is stuck underneath

the list goes on. there is not even a discussion here

Muscles wouldn't matter for shit, only that you can get some decent endurance on like one meal a day, so cardiomaxxing is a must

halfway between soccer player and marathon runner, probably. Something that requires very few calories per day and tires very slowly.
When it comes to fight or flight, smart money is on flight.

      >halfway between soccer player and marathon runner,
I'd say halfway between a marathon runner and a construction worker. What does being a soccer player add?

        Anonymous

I suppose the soccer player part is having leg dexterity? I can see that being very useful in an apocalypse.
Ideally though you would "start" the apocalypse as a fat frick with home equipment, and train at home (a lot of footwork training and shadow boxing) for the first few months until most zombies have decomposed and then rebuild.
The issue with zombie apocalypses in media is that there is zero risk to them past a couple of weeks in really, maybe a couple of months if people are REALLY moronic and keep somehow restarting the cycle of infection.
True apocalypse would be something from which humanity could not rebuild. Like the sun going out, or an infectious plague wiping out the viability of all farmland or stuff like that

Coomer body would be ideal in a zombie apocalypse.

Cardio from constantly jerking it making those arm muscles more enduring than any marathon runners legs can ever even wish for.
Can slash at zombies 24/7 with a heavy melee weapon with that endurance.

Death gripping builds insane strength, you don't even need a weapon you just death grip those zambies skulls like they're made of mushy apples, don't even need a melee weapon, you are the weapon.

Coom on zombies to show dominance, every survivor will fear you and won't even dare to look you in your bloodshot eyes.
