I think our body is more resilient than we give credit. If your body is resistant to adapting then sometimes you have to force it to your will to adapt.

Simply put: You would not be able to do it.
And would be violently ill with overtraining within the month.
If you think otherwise, you don't know what "complete exhaustion" means, or have ever experienced it.

Is it possible to be completely exhausted by weights in under an hour, assuming adequate nutrition and sleep?

No, because you can't do it with just exhausting one muscle group.
I can train to the point where walking hurts for 2-3 days, but walking only hurts because something in the lower back or around the legs is strained. And evenat that point you can't reach complete exhaustion.

This is basically another "read the sticky" thread, where you are too much of a idiot to look up why training alternate muscle groups each day works, or why they do it.

I did HIIT for an hour once and felt like I was going to be sick

HIIT won't bring you to complete exhaustion once you are fit in just one hour.
At most you make breathing & heart hurt so much your entire oxygen system makes you feel violently ill.

Dave Goggins also developed rhabdo no less than 3 times and wound up being bed-ridden for a long time prior to retirement from the military. The entire last chapter of Can't Hurt Me was literally him accepting death because of how shit he felt and contained the message of "don't fricking do what I did"
