What's a good time for running a mile?

Never ran in any intentional fitness capacity before in my life. I'm decently fit, early 20s, eat well, work out an hour or two a week at home, 23 BMI. My mile time is consistently a few seconds short of 8 minutes which I think is pretty shit.

Just curious what the standards are around here.

Whenever I see legs like that, I think about how they would wrap around me tight and prevent me from pulling out

Good legs are a sign of healthy hips prime for childbirth so it's natural to be attracted to them over weird shìt like feet

    10+ minutes is subhuman
9 minutes is untrained but not a lardo
8 minutes is new to running
7 minutes is getting used to running
    6 minutes is runner

Very good time. Try and make it 20min and you're an absolute machine. I just want to run a single mile at 20min/3mile pace which is 6:30~

Thanks, I'll try. Should I increase distance over time or just do 5k 3 times a week?

Honestly, I just want to maximize cardio gains because I do kickboxing and already have a schedule bursting at the seams with said kickboxing, lifting as well as endirance training and bagwork
I wanna know whether I should rather increase my speed for 5k or increase distance so I don't gas out early

Personally I can put out a 4:40 if I'm willing to go through hell, but Ive been running for over 5 years now.

I've seen enough posts on this topic to tell you that most Anons consider 7:00 a respectable time.

    Stop comparing yourself to others.
A good time is slightly faster than whatever you are running now. Keep doing a mile and you will improve.
Also, how can white women even compete.
