SIDE delts aren't REAR delts, moron.

If you do pulling exercises properly you literally need no rear delt isolations.

      >If you do pulling exercises properly you literally need no rear delt isolations.

spoken like someone with weak, flabby shoulders.

        no bot, this:

        >If you do pulling exercises properly you literally need no rear delt isolations.
that's the gist of what bot wants u to believe in this particular thread, meanwhile rear delt is notorioulsy hard to train because there is global conspiracy to frick up all fitness inclined individuals
        u get this recommended
        [...]
but this moron is swinging that db, that is why he never had delts, swings in bad motion - no delt despite literal arnold gemnetics and roids xD
        [...]
this bs - no they don't, at all
        [...]
        traps u moron

rear delt is very simple to isolate and grow though, do this:

8th minute, go on all 4 with one db, it sets u up for continous time under tension during ur set provided u don't swing like that imbecile: [...] and continuous tension on muscle belly that is contracting free of interference is what u want for muscle hypertrophy, for delt, arm along ur body slightly internally rotated, weight lies entirely on tricep tendon, u should be able to perform it with severed bicep

the truth, if it ain't resting on tricep tendon as opposed to bicep bot it is not rear delt

I don't know what rear delts are and I don't care. I don't participate in the mental illness of body sculpting and only seek to make my body stronger and more capable.

go to a mirror. take of your shirt and try flexing your rear delt. doesn't work with 90 degree angle between your ellbow and your torso. works really well with 40 or 45 degrees angle. doesn't work well with straight arms. works well with bent arms. 90 degrees or less in the ellbow seem to work best. so this is the joint angles you want to train your rear delt in.
i like to do it like this: grab two dbs, sit on a bench, lean forward as much as can do, pull ellbows back and up while focusing on flexing rear delts. i do sets of 15 to 20. i like swinging forward a little to get a bit more stretch, and i like to focus on really going for the squeeze at the top, flexing really hard for a second, not because it does anything by itself but because it helps you connect to that muscle better

How heavy do you go? I used to do these standing but didn't feel much as I got up towards 8-10kg dumbbells so swapped them for cable flies instead. Will try them again seated tomorrow

i'm using 20kg currently. i've done 22 before before but i've decided to work on the form before going up in weight. you can really go heavy with this, it's an angle where your lats and traps can't do that much so you still use mainly rear delt. but i really would advice you to focus on flexing and squeezing the rear delt while going up. i can't imagine how you could do this properly while standing tho

Rows and face pulls cover it. Medial delt schizo is itt so ignore posts about anterior deltoid exercises and impingement.

Why? I could guess that they have a similar problem as dumbbell lateral raises where the resistance is lowest in the position where the muscles are stretched.

Where is the loading potential? If you can’t increase resistance it’s a waste

You can vary the resistance by adding or removing springs
