Nothing really I have to do it or I will die. If i load up 300 pounds on my bench I will get severely injured if I don't do it, this is how life should be if you fail you die.

no sometimes trying isn't enough. You need to learn this if you want to ascend beyond humanly powers.

Unironically the best hero in the show.
It's easy to be a hero when you know you can end your enemy with one punch. But going against fricking sea monsters, ancient gods and demons from the underworld while knowing that you're just some guy on a bike, only because it's the right thing to do? That requires balls of tungsten.

My hatred of demons. I fricking hate them so much I can't stop thinking about all the different ways I'm going to use to kill them. I lift so that I can kill those bastards by the thousands one day, I fricking despise them. They all need to die, not one of them deserves to live. If every demon suddenly dropped dead I would rejoice with gladness, it would be the best day of my life. Frick

Based but you can chill out bro, demons have sentenced themselves to death already, all we have to do is not let them drag us and our loved ones into their depravity

Holy based, I'm glad there's someone else who thinks like this. I know I'm going to Hell, I want to be strong enough to rip and tear those demons when I get there like Doomguy and Dante did.

I have a beautiful baby son, I want to be able to pick him up and race him until his 18th birthday and I'd like to be able to play goofy lawn games with his eventual children (bocce and the like)

The fact that you moronic zoomers think you need to be motivated to lift is just pathetic. You won't get anywhere with motivation alone.
    What you need is discipline.

Rare insightful posts, discipline is whats needed.

Motivation is not a real thing. You'll never be permanently motivated to do the things you don't wanna do. People that train every day are disciplined, they do it every single day no matter how they feel because that's their duty as men.

Motivation is the beginning, You get inspired by people, their actions and their mindset. As a result you self-define what you are and what you want to become. That is the first step.
Then you need to put in the work. Be persistent and consistent in what you do, and I assure you you will be successful.
