YNGMI bro. Go to a local boxing gym, actually having a sparring partner is 1000% better to develop at all. Online martial arts is gonna be bullshit designed to separate NEETs from their wallet.

Boxers don't get cauliflower ears, people who do some kind of grappling only get them if they do a lot of hard sparring - light work that hobbyists do won't hurt. Or you could just do Kung Fu/Karate where there is no contact at all.

Suck it up, if you want to learn to fight, you gotta fight, and if you fight, your at risk of injuries like that. Not likely to frick up your ear with most boxing gyms anyway, gonna be wearing headgear.

And I thought wanting to take online martial arts classes was gay enough. You should've lied and said something like, "I'm 16 and my mom won't let me join a boxing gym bc brain damage"

The more I learn about Sam the more I want him to lose. On the 1 hand, yes, Hasan is an absolute homosexual. On the other, Sam is an utter turbo israelite for fricking over Charls as hard as he did.

The recent NFT trading card video things was 1 of the cringiest things I've seen in years. The only entertaining things he has done recently were the idubbz and Epic Meal Time collabs where, ironically, required other people to make Sam funny. He seriously needs to ditch the wigger zoomies.

If you’re refering to the videos he filmed at his mom’s house and the early Hyde wars where he rambled into a camera for hours - hardly genius, though funny, and we could do without them.

The kickstarter thing was hilarious though. Bummer that idubbz stole the idea, did it worse, and will take the credit for it

You mean after Sam sicked the IRS on him? Nah brah, totally a mystery.

How did he frick charls? I thought they just split ways.

From how I've come to understand it, Charls wanted to try pitching his own show with some other guy (don't know the name). Before they even could pitch the show, Sam reported Charls to the IRS fricking him over royally. He got so fricked he pretty much swore off the entertainment business entirely, works construction now, and hates Sam's guts.

I'd say Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, and Karate (it's one specific style and I can't remember it) are kings of striking.

Grappling is probably ranked wrestling (I'd rank Greco Roman highest because the grips and throws are essentially no gi judo throws), Jui Jitsu, and Judo as top grappling styles to learn.

      >I really don't know what I'm talking about.

On what planet is wrestling useful to learn grappling? Have you actually wrestled before? Do you understand the point of the sport?

I wrestled for 4 years in highschool. When I went into Jui Jitsu and started learning striking I had a massive advantage. I could throw people quite easily. Why do you think Khabib was so dominant? It's one of the most fundamental things you can learn for grappling.

What was you experience like first time striking?
I have a hard time standing in orthodox stance when boxing. Seeing as I have been trained to do judo with my right foot first from early childhood on it feels incredebly unnatural to lead with my left foot. Does this feeling fade away or should I not care and fully go for being a righthanded-southpaw.

    Judo
It's one thing to punch someone, it's another to throw them.

Also throw in some training with elbows and headbutts, you can practice those on a heavy bag though.

  14. 2 years ago

    1. stop being a fricking homosexual and go to a gym, you literally wont learn a thing from online lessons. How tf are you gonna learn how to fight without actually fighting?
    2. No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, stay away from Gi as its just a bunch of dudes who put on pajamas and pull guard which is a horrible idea. In No-Gi you'll actually learn some takedowns and wrestling. Ideally you would just learn wrestling but it's basically impossible if you didn't start in high school since it really only exists as a school and collegiate sport.
    3. If you really insist on striking then just do boxing or muay thai especially, knees and elbows can really frick someone up if they don't train.

Realistically Muay thai is the most versatile and applicable in a real world scenario. To get good you'll have to sparr alot which could give you CTE longterm tho. BJJ is also good since you can sparr indefinetely with no risk except your ears, but be aware that going to the ground in a real life fight might end with some third guy kicking your head in.

The unpopular (but true) opinion is that size usually determines fights. Sure, if you're a professional MMA fighter who's been training his whole life, you can probably take down a bigger random in the streets. And there are those rare cases where a smaller dude throws/lands a very lucky punch, but in 90% of fights, size is king.

Sam Hyde is a legitimately big dude. 6'5'' and thick as hell. He probably won a ton of fights on his size alone and thinks he's some sort of boxing guru now. I've watched some of his "lesson" videos and honestly it's just full of super amateur nooby advices. He probably thinks he wins out of super talent vs just being a giant.

I've only seen him fight ONE guy his size.

If Samire Hyde was put in a single reputable boxing gym he'd be humbled in a single day. He should admit he needs more fundamentals and accept a boxing coach.

Cope, size means shit against an untrained random who’s big but never been in a fight. if you know not to panic, abasic stance, some footwork and how to jab and hook you’ll frick up most people. I’ve beat the shit out of a 250lbs meathead at 170lbs and all I did was jab him a few times in the nose and dodge his flailing before he stopped and asked me to stop.

What’s the best martial art in terms of lowest recovery demand and lowest injury risk to effectiveness ratio?
Boxing? BJJ? Tai chi? Krav Maga? Aikido plus getting huge?
I’ve tried some judo, Muay Thai, kyokushin. But all the guys who’ve been there a few years complain of their multiple ongoing injuries, and Muay Thai at least the heavy conditioning would impact ability to lift as much.
