dips, but make sure to have your rest days, i was doing dips during every sesh and tore something. its getting better, but scared the shit out of me. going to give it another week before i hop back on.
well the day after was fricked. my chest felt tight and painful when i flexed. it's been about 5 days and its better, but i can still feel something not 100%. i'd say i'm about 80% there. to be clear, i've only been staying away from chest based exercises, have been going to the gym since and i'm fine. just be careful, don't too much of anything without rest. you will hurt yourself.
Incline dumbbell bench. Whenever you want to work a muscle optimally just look at where the insertions are and try to bring them closer together. Incline dumbbell bench is perfect for the upper pecs because of that
What’s the best way to do dips in an apartment? I’ve been doing push-ups and pull-ups like a fiend and would like to add dips to the mix. I’m trying to see how far I can go by walking 10k steps a day, eating perfectly, and doing calisthenics religiously.
Get a combined pullup and dip bar station. They're not super expensive
Right next to my apartment complex, actually. But it’s next to a kids park and a bunch of other shit which drives my autism crazy (I don’t like being a spectacle). Isn’t there some sort of easy at home poorgay option like stacking cinder blocks?

You could use chairs if they're sturdy, hands on the top rail, they might top over though
There are cheaper dip only bars that you can use, they should be less than $100
If you don't wanna beat your autism and head to the park and you don't have the requirements to hack together your own dip station then I suggest you just do

There's absolutely nothing wrong with pushups and you can make them harder by changing the angle and adding a heavy backpack

Another cheap option is to get gymnastic rings, you can just toss them over a sturdy beam and do both pushups and dips, then you can also do rows and a bunch of other things.
Focus on actually contracting your pecs when doing chest exercises, don't just push with your arms.
Do you have a counter in your kitchen with an interior corner (like the inside of a right-angle)? You can do them like that alright, if your wrist flexibility is poor then you'll have to do them on your fists which might need some padding.
But trying to focus in on "upper pecs" is a meme because flat bench hit both. You don't have "overdimensioned" lower pecs or whatever you imagine, only 0.01% of pro bodybuilders have this problem
Upward cable flys

You underestimate my level of poverty.
Do you have any local calisthenics parks?

Hang some rings off your pull up bar. Next step is getting a weight belt.
looks suicidal no way is the drywall and moulding rated for that shit
His picrel is stupid. The right way to do it is using one of those pullup bars that you can screw into the door frame itself
Cool way to break your tailbone
Incline bench

Decline bench
Cable flys with the anchor point above your shoulders
What is the metal thing called? I need one for my home gym
It's called a captains chair.
Also called a VKR (vertical knee raise)
Any incline push exercise that feels best for you that you can progressively overload (Incline BB, DB, cable fly, machine, etc.)
A correctly executed overhead press.
How long should it take you to get to 2 and 3 plate dips, if you're doing 3x8?
How much do you weigh? How long have you been training?
83ish kgs. Started SL July last year, but dropped bench for dips 3ish weeks ago.
Hit 12.5kg 4x8 today
2pl8 should take you around 3-4 months. 3pl8 will take about 6-7
I get a pain in the center of chest during dips. Why bros?
You're going too deep. You're not built for that ROM. Make it more shallow and the sternum pain will go away
When I push down, my arms are straight. So that's the problem?
No the opposite. Like the stretch at the bottom is the issue
