What's the deal with hardstyle and lifting? Is it just because Zyzz listened to it or is there a deeper association?

because it's fast, energetic, and gets you amped up. Plus a lot of it is classic catchy pop that's like sugar for your ears and gets the dopamine flowing. No one is listening to slow dirges to get their blood flowing

I like black metal, but hardstyle is better for lifting. Therefore, black metal is gay.

The best hardstyle is classic hardstyle remixes of old school trance, especially trance songs Zyzz listened to.

      Basically this
I thought it sounded like absolute dogshit the first time I heard it. But as my workouts became more and more draining my usual music just wasn’t getting it done. Tried hardstyle again and it’s the only thing that hits right for a grueling intense long bodybuilding workout

The only thing that annoys me with the newer songs is the fricking "boinkboinkboink" sound instead of actual sharp hardcore bass hitting
Idk but i find it somewhat cringe
To each his own i guess

Gym hardstyle is gay as frick and is a pop normie version of actual hardstyle, normies ruin everything and i wish it would go back to being unpopular

If you actually want hardstyle go listen to subzero project, warface, delete, headhunterz, etc

Based. I just use a timeframe to describe good hardstyle. The sweet spot is somewhere from 2007-2015.

It’s easy to zone in and out of and be high energy whenever you listen back to it. You don’t have to spend so much time listening to it but can just experience it while lifting.
