I myself am horribly capped by my ability to recover. I can train hard enough to put myself out for 5 days easy.

Training hard is not hard. Recovering fast enough for your next retarded workout is.
PED both give you lower minimum stimulus input needed to grow. So natties have to train harder to get stuff to grow.
But PEDs also give you higher recover, so you can also throw more exercise and recover form it.
PEDs give both a lower minimum and expand the maximum.
Natties have a much more narrow band of optimal training stimuli, where you work hard enough for growth but avoid overtraining from what your body can't recover in time.
And this is not to cry about oh us poor natties. Merely that natty and roidtrannies exist in two completely different worlds and minset and training advice should be kept separate for the two groups.

The biggest key to this is understanding variation in your workout program and honestly learn to take it hella easy.
I have FOR YEARS trained like a fucking idiot and just upped intensity to the point where when it came time for me to start work for the season I was worse off than where I was two months prior.
Ive found that not adhereing to a very strict 6 day schedule helps a lot eg; one week do your upper body on wedneday and saturday and then next week do monday and friday. That way your body cant adapt as easily and plataeuing wont happen as often.
And change your exercises. Stop doing bench for 2 weeks and go learn a DB circuit.
Routine breeds stagnation
