What’s the safest martial arts to learn?

What’s the safest martial arts to learn? I did BJJ a year ago but it was kinda gay with all the rolling on the floor and I’m pretty sure it gave me tinnitus when one moron I was rolling with decided to somersault on my head. Also they made me roll with a disabled person once and I almost vomited when his stumpy foot touched my face. Then I tried boxing which was a lot more fun and intuition based but I got paranoid because of all the head hitting. Also boxing lacks and takedowns and submission which sucks.

What can I do? Should I just buy a gun and not waste my time with martial arts? I feel like I’m being left behind because every other man I know is doing some sort of martial arts.

Judo or karate are going to be your options if you care about not getting hit in the head/injured and still being able to defend yourself somewhat, or just get huge lifting weights, though combining that would be better if you dont care about becoming proficient and compete at them.

homosexual take on karate. So long as you're not training at some shitty mcdojo karate is alright. Just as good as any other TMA.

Pretty much any TMA that isn't some straight up weeb shit like aikido will be all right.

Honestly what this guy said, but muay thai instead of karate. You want one striking style and one grappling style that focuses on throws & takedowns. Judo is nice because it will still teach you enough rolling to know how to fall and how to escape, without focusing way to hard on submission shit that is only applicable in a strict 1v1. I know some gay is gonna chime in and talk about how great BJJ is. Look im not saying submissions don't have their place, like in a bedroom with another homosexual, I'm just saying that if you go for an armbar against a member of a pack of Black folk, you're going to get curb stomped into oblivion.

Judo and aikido wrist locks mixed in with pic related.

Judo because that's what all military and law enforcement teach because it's incredibly effective. Also being thrown to the ground hurts more than being punched.

Aikido because wristlocks are very effective in many situations, try them with someone and see what I mean. You can read any combative training book from the 60s and they'll mention wristlocks.

Pic rel is a good endurance and general stamina/strength training program.

      Judo

Is Judo actually safe? Naively speaking, getting thrown on the floor repeatedly sounds like an easy way to get injured. At the very least, I imagine your brain does not like bouncing around in the skull so violently.

i'm pretty sure the first thing they teach you is how to fall, but idk.

Judo is great fun but you will definitely get injured, probably quite frequently, once you start doing randori. Every competitive judoka I know is always dealing with some kind of injury. You just gotta weigh up the pros with the cons.

like sprains and jammed fingers here and there or life altering injuries? I wouldn't mind the former but I don't wanna frick up my shoulder and never be able to press again or even worse become paralyzed or some shit.

The first things you're taught in Judo is how to fall. It might sound silly but there really is a simple technique to it. Plus you train on mats so...

Judo is definitely not safer than striking sports like boxing. That's what chicks to to stay fit.
With judo a white belt who have no idea what he's doing could hurt you pretty bad

Anything actually good and effective isn’t safe. BJJ, wrestling, and judo are basically 100% chance of injury eventually. Boxing, MT, good karate will all have injury and brain damage potential. Martial arts for self defense is generally stupid and a complete waste of time. It takes a long time to get good or even competent. Lots of time, effort, and money to have the edge in an unarmed one on one fight that can almost always be avoided. Just train what you like and will keep you in good shape, but anything that makes you good at fighting requires fighting. Fighting guarantees injury. I’m a BJJ brown belt, training over ten years.

I'd like to learn judo but I found martial arts classes to be an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable experience. I think the only way I could learn would be to have individual coaching sessions, and I'm not sure those exist.

Yeah ok. I guess maybe it's just the format. It's like an awkward dance session: "Ok I'm going to move like this, you also move like this"

I trained at two judo places and both featured 30 mins randori for both tachiwaza and newaza. The "dance" training to which you refer is just to learn technique. You'll find the same thing with any style. I do basically the same thing with combinations at muay thai. For example: jab slip hook cross hook check body kick

Literally anything as long as the gym is legit. If they're sparring hard outside of fight prep it's a pretty big red flag.

Unless you’re sparring hard, there is nothing wrong with being hit in the head.
