The kind that kills you early is stuff like sausages and steak-ums. The really heavily processed shit. There's no association with cancer and heart disease when it comes to steak and other minimally processed red meat

      Anonymous

Even the studies linking sausage, salami, etc to cancer are pretty hokey. It's hard to get a control group that never eats processed meats.

The studies also did not control for tobacco users vs. Non-tobacco users when splitting between the "does not eat red meat" vs. "Does eat red meat"
The higher instance of cancer all the vegan/climate gays claim is from a very obvious confounding variable.
Correct for that and there's no correlation.

So sausage and steak are bad in the eyes of the normalgays now? Amazing. I wish normalgays wouldn't be so quick to demonize animal-based foods, but I know it's in your nature to do what the news and others who also learn from the media tell you to do.

so 8800 people per year have bowel cancer due to processed meat and red meat.
more than 90% of these are older than 50yo.
so about 880 people get cancer from this source who are younger, in a country with approx 40 million people under 50yo.
it doesn't seem as scary as you thought.
although I rarely eat red meat, so care even less.

All offense intended: Do you know what causes cancer? Cell damage. Please educate us all on how red meat causes cell damage in the bowels, and how DNA Polymerase 4 activity is impacted in such a way to not be as effective, specifically by beef.

contains highest levels of methionine relative to other foods, which is the primary driver of dna methylation, which is the primary driver of aging/cell damages. polymerase is unable to fully mitigate methylation even when functionings correctly

Methionine is an essential amino acid
The body cannot synthesize methionine, so it must be obtained from outside the body. Plant proteins have methionine, but in lower amounts. For example, about 8% of the amino acids in egg whites are methionine and cysteine. In chicken and beef it is about 5% and in dairy products it is 4%.
The recommended daily intake of methionine is 8.6 mg/lb (19 mg/kg) per day for adults, but many diets exceed this amount.

cause and effect require a controlled experiment to prove it, and there is not 1 for both smoking and meat eating, however, the correlation of smoking and cancer is ridicolously high, where meat eating and bowel cancer comes from shit tier studies and even when they try their hardest to make shit up and ignore evidence to the contrary it's still extremely low.

I think I'm starting to understand the situation. If you're healthy and there isn't any cardiovascular disease in you family history then you're fine. You can eat as much meat as you can and have high testosterone levels and your LDL would still stay in the normal range, but if you're unfortunate to have been born with bad genes and your body can't regulate cholesterol and LDL levels you have to get on medication if you want to eat meat.

nah LDL has nothing to do with it, it gets stuck in arterial walls only if there's previous damage (chronic inflammation).
first it was cholesterol, then they blamed LDL (not a different cholesterol, cholesterol is cholesterol), now gays like Peter Attia and others are shifting to lpoA but that's bs as well.

Cholesterol levels are only regulated by your genes and are different at any given time for multiple reasons, lowering cholesterol for heart disease is like trying to clean under a rug while there is a house fire.
Whatever medicine is lowering cholesterol does so by either poisoning you or blocking some important metabolic function.

For people with brains here's why there is no evidence that processed or red meat cause colon cancer and the best evidence says it doesn't
        >Despite claims by the World Health Organization (WHO) that eating processed meat causes colon cancer and red meat probably causes cancer, the observational data used to support the claims are weak, confounded by multiple unmeasured factors, and not supported by other types of research needed for such a conclusion. Although intervention studies are designed to test the validity of associations found in observational studies, two interventions of low-fat, low-meat diets in volunteers that failed to find a benefit on cancer were not considered in the WHO decision.

Even processed shit-tier meat is healthier than shit like nuts, oats, bread etc. You need to clear your brain of all these pozzed fake-studies.

If you're consuming large quantities of red meat, your LDL is going to be very high. That's not a problem, in fact, there's strong evidence that LDL is beneficial if it's not oxidizing at the high rate that's typical of must Americans with a garbage diet.

Make sure that if you continue eating a lot of red meat that you're eating clean - no seed oils, only simple carbs and minimize refined sugar (sweeten things w/ honey and maple syrup instead)

Ldl has a function in the body to transport cholesterol. Not sure why you hate it. If your LDL is healthy and your arteries aren't damaged they are not just going to dump their cholesterol in the bloodstream, no matter how much or little they have.

Humans have evolved to eat meat. We diverged away from our herbivore ancestors millions of years ago. Our appendix is all but redundant in it's function of digesting cellulose. Our stomach acid is some of the strongest of any animal to digest meat and kill parasites. Our gut is much shorter than that of our primate relatives, another hallmark of meat eaters. Our shoulders evolved to throw with the purpose of hunting, and we have one of the most effective cardio vascular systems of any animal in order to chase down prey. On a hot day a human can chase down a horse.

Humans require saturated fat and LDL cholesterol for hormone health. Here is a study on low fat diets that found a vegetarian diet reduces testosterone in men by 26%.
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0960076021000716

Here is a study referencing multiple studies showing that replacing saturated fat with other fat sources causes a significant reduction in testosterone in men.
    https://academic.oup.com/biomedgerontology/article/63/11/1260/759439

And here is a study showing cholesterol requirements for hormone health are species specific with humans needing LDL cholesterol that we can't get from plants. vegan sources of saturated fat such as coconut oil only give us HDL cholesterol which cannot be used for hormone synthesis.

In terms of our evolutionary history, homosexual sapiens appeared around 300,000 years ago. Early homosexual is dated back to around 3 million years and earlier species are dated back to around 7 million years. From cutting tools and carcasses that have been found and dated, early humanoids were making tools and hunting animals at least 2.6 million years ago. This means our ancestors were hunting animals for meat at least 2.3 million years before modern homosexual sapiens even existed which obviously will have shaped some of the requirements of our modern diet.

Red meat is king but one has to avoid getting too acidic. If latter is the case(blood pressure / adrenaline too high) rather eat raw fish and also unheated honey & cheese.

You can also dry blending cucumber, tomatoes, some lemon and some raw cream / egg into a drink - this helps in case of acidity.

Then when you ignore that irrelevant drivel and push for proofs they go full antiscience.

Red meat is great for your 9 amino acids, and some micronutrients.
Chicken is actually better and leaner in terms of getting your protein. But you won't get iron from Chicken.

I'm fairly sure that all the "red meat bad" studies have been made with processed meats and if you eat red meat with fat in it (so you are not just eating protein) you will be just fine. You need some cholesterol to function and there's no need to believe that the meat will just glog your arteries.
