Bros i met a 19 year old today at a filming spot(i was the director) and exchanged instagram with the girl. She was playful and making eye contact with me every now and then. Then 6 hours after the filming she asked me if i could send her a picture from the video shooting. Should i ask her out? How should i play it??

  26. 4 weeks ago

I enjoy it. I'm excited for it 99% of the time. I like seeing the regulars. I like receiving the nasty looks from my gym nemesis and giving them back. I like seeing the women there. I like looking and feeling good having a great workout. I love the pump and the rush/high that lasts hours after an amazing session.

We as humans need long term goals to keep going in life, and this is a good example. Try hard, see results, feel the accomplishment, keep going. Same concept with other aspects of life, like career.

    >she’s super sweet and feminine, great body
    >eventually ask her out for drinks
    >get friendzoned immediately after the date
    >whatever
    >friendship keeps developing
    >we keep going on dates and stuff, I often introduce her to things she’s never done before
    >we help each other through hard times
    >we call each other terms of endearment and say I love you
    >decide to move in together
    >still have never kissed
    >ask her why she never saw me as a romantic partner
    >she said she’s into more muscular guys
I know nothing will probably happen, and that’s fine, I’m thankful for her friendship. But in the back of my mind I have hope. I think of her every time I enter the gym.

I didn’t start seriously lifting (and running) until I was almost 24. At 30 now I am kind of a late bloomer in peak physical condition and I am absolutely terrified of ever not being fit again.
Between lifting and running I spend on average 2 hours per day working out. Not doing so is simply not an option. It is the main priority in my life. More important than grad school, more important than my career.

I don't have any. I mean I have a reason for wanting to lift, but I haven't been able to motivate myself all year, despite having a really good home gym setup. I make too many excuses and they're all petty as frick too.
    >can't start today because it's Saturday, and I want to workout Mon-Wed-Fri
    >Monday comes -- can't start today because it's too cold outside, I'll start on Wed

It changes over time, cyclical kinda. Main thing tho over the years is that it's habit, and I'm addicted. (In the best way)

For the past 8-10 months, my main motivation has been my gym crush. She trains same time, same days, same things. It honestly motivates me, even if I'm not going to go for it.

i've been consistently going to the gym for 10 months, about 3 times per week. I've only gained 10 pounds...currently in a weird spot where i haven't gone in 2 weeks because of my work schedule/feeling a little depressed about some stupid b***h. i know going will make me feel better but also the will to actually go just isn't strong enough right now. is this normal? also i thought i'd have gained more weight, but sometimes its hard to force myself to eat all day

my main motivation for going to the gym is having a fat ass. once I'm already in the gym it's not that hard to get myself to train other muscle groups.

for anyone curious, pr on cable kickbacks is 101kg. pr on hip abduction machine was 133kg before planet fitness kicked me out for bringing in a screwdriver so i load extra plates. pr on hip thrusts is 160kg but that exercise sucks so i haven't done it in a while.
these aren't 1 rep maxes though, they're just part of my warm up before i drop down to working weight.

like others in this thread i do train with the idea of women in mind but the meme aspect behind it is the main motivator. i joke with my one friend that my dream physique is Frankie Lapenna.
