thats dumb, how else are you supposed to lift to failure properly. if you dont squeeze out a couple reps with bad form after the last rep with good form you are able to do, then wtf are you doing (though obviously dont do dangerous shit, remember, a weight can easily kill or mutilate you if youre not careful)

        >then wtf are you doing
you aren't being a complete moron
lifting to failure with bad form is a one way ticket to snap city

Thats reasonable for things like curls and rows and pullups where you aren’t going to have a nice day on failure. But deliberately going to failure with poor form on something like squats is asking to destroy your back.

When your form is breaking down terribly, you're ego lifting. If form is still solid, you aren't. Reps with form breakdown are past failure and to be done very rarely. They don't count.

Does anyone else use heavy weight as a warmup? I've found that doing a 90% 1rm single after a minimal first warmup really gets the blood flowing and improves strength and mind muscle connection of higher rep sets
