The one you will actually stick to fatass. Both can be done outside as well if you have to so even if you buy one it's not either or.

Pretty sure Ill stick to either. Ive went over 200lbs for the first time in my life and need to go back. Working two jobs atm and eating like shit, but will fit more exercise in my breaks while eating less.

        >Pretty sure Ill stick to either.
I wish I could believe you anon. I lost over 35 kgs about a year back and have since been monitoring the /fat/ thread occasionally and everyone says "I will stick to it" and "I won't rebound" and "I will never get fat again" and they all 100% believe it. Yet I'd guess the ones who actually make it are in the single or low double percent digits. Shit's grim. So don't understimate the value of consistency. If one of these looks like you would have a simpler time sticking to it, that one is probably better. If your knees hurt and you have issues with that then maybe the bike is better. If bikesaddles hurt your ass, then maybe running is better. I phrased it a bit mean, but genuinely the one you stick to more likely is better.
And remember that diet is more important than the exercise for weightloss. The exercise is a bonus on top and good for health, so still do it, but do not under any circumstances skip the diet part.

Thank you for your words anon. This is probably what I needed to hear the most.

Here's one more thing to always keep in mind:
            https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/07/150716180913.htm
            >"The [annual probability] of an obese person attaining normal body weight is 1 in 210 for men and 1 in 124 for women, increasing to 1 in 1,290 for men and 1 in 677 for women with severe obesity"
            >"For those people who achieved five per cent weight loss, 53 per cent regained this weight within two years and 78 percent had regained the weight within five years."
So not only is losing weight insanely hard, most people also regain their weight right after. But do not take this as discouragement, rather as a reminder that
            - this is not going to be easy, it's an actual challenge and as such it requires work to get done
            - it doesn't "stop". This isn't something you do temporarily to lose weight, it's a permanent lifestyle change that you will keep up until you are too old to do it, or dead.
In a weird way I used that statistic as motivation, I even have "1 in 210" written with marker on my whiteboard in my room and it gave me strength when I was weak. Beating the odds is hard, but doable. Haven't removed it since, because I am honestly quite proud of it.
And remember picrel. If you make it you will live a longer, happier and more fulfilling life. It's great on the other side, you got this anon.

Shit I am 1 in 1290, and I didn't even know it lol.

                You are severely obese?
Note that that is SEVERE obesity. Overweight is 25-30 BMI, obese is 30-34.9 (as per the paper), "severe obesity" is 35.0 to 35.9 and beyond that the paper defines "morbid obesity" (40.0 to 44.9) and "superobesity"(45+).

Man, I had more than 40% BF then after 1 year I maintain 12-15% BF, so I'm above statistics and average people.

    What about running outside?

I'll probably be shot for saying it but I find it very boring. Indoors I could glue myself to a screen like a moron.

The bike saddle gives me a sore ass so I would go for the treadmill, and put it on the highest incline.

      It also numbs my wiener.

Well maybe that's an issue, you probably shouldn't be looking at a screen while you exercise, anyway running outside has improved my mood and my mental toughness, I would recommend to give it like 2 weeks and it becomes enjoyable.

        use a recumbent exercise bike
regular bikes are well known for putting pressure on the pelvic floor and in particular a section of nerves and blood vessels that supply blood to the penis and testicles.
unless you want to shill out big dollars on an actual bike seat that isn't moronic just get a recumbent exercise bike.
the design allows for you to mimic natural seating and while numbs your butt a little doesn't cause damage to anything.

recumbent exercise bike is better for sustained cardio and burning general calories.
you're not shooting for a super high BPM and just get on and pedal.
for HIIT sprints are always the best option, nothing comes close.
