    Both
You go up to a heavy weight and then down again

A is better. Why? Because your muscles are forced to exert more effort. Whereas in B, you're going to get the weight up with mostly momentum and you risk long term joint problems from jerking the weight.

The most important thing is that you develop the mind muscle connection with the muscles in your back doing the movement so that you stress those muscles and not something else. You have to do that first with lighter weight and concentration on feeling the muscle. Then you can go heavier when you know how to use your back to do the movement properly.

    Same with pull-ups.

Just because you’re using lighter weight doesn’t result in better mind to muscle connection. That’s just a straight up lie. You can get that with heavier weight and slower movement too if that’s what you are trying to achieve.

Obviously not that. But given you are somewhat stable going heavy on those is king

this. strict rows are hardest at top when muscle enters active insufficiency and lever is worst. explosive rowing has better resistance curve.

These are are like a shittier version of Pendlay rows. imo the best way to do dumbbell rows is seated

Comparing them to pendlay rows because they are both compound movements. They also both suck ass for targeting your back

Db rows dont suck ass for targeting back though

Compared to most back exercises they do. 99% percent of the time your lower back and arms fatigue way before your back does especially at heavy weight. They are good for building strength though.

this but unironically. forces you to go strict, no more swinging and whatnot also no stress on your lower back. there is literally no reason to not do em like that.

Cable rows mog any dumbell/barbell exercise. More natural position, can easily load up very heavy weights, easy to dropset.
