      I am going to do this. I think I would choose rice most of the time as I feel lighter after eating it, but potatoes are lovely and have loads of potassium

    Rice is so easy bros. If you have a rice cooker it becomes even fricking easier absolutely mindless to prepare. No hassle no mess. Potatoes I think you can make taste better just by themselves or with a little cooking but rice usually needs to be paired with something. I can't do plain white rice like asians.

        I can't make boiled potatoes without wanting to turn it into potato soup; baked potatoes are boring unless you're roasting those little ones. anything involving pan frying is a pain in the ass because you have to microwave them first on a low setting and then fry; I always frick up and don't microwave for long enough, so they're not fully done even though the home fries look perfectly browned on the outside.

    Potato has more nutrients and vitamins, but only if you eat the skins.
    Rice is more digestible, and easier to cook, at least with a rice cooker.
    No reason you can’t have some of both.
    I go with potato because no rice cooker.

    Why do americans ignore the superior carb source? Just eat pasta. Molisana, De Cecco, Rummo, Voiello and Garofalo are acceptable brands. 14g of protein per 100g. Rice is for the diseased and the chinese, unless you are making risotto, but that's another pair of hands.
    Also why the frick would you eat potatoes for bulking when they have 1/4 the caloric density of pasta.

    I like parboiled rice. Nutritionally similar to brown rice, but cooks quickly. That said, I live in Idaho, I gotta go with the spuds, they're so cheap here it's unreal.
