Who can help me understand what happened? I'm dieting + long walks to lose weight. Things have been going well, dropping 1.6kg/week on average. However I suddenly gained about 2kg almost overnight, with no deviation in diet or activity to explain it.
Almost has to be water right? But why?
>fatso
yes I frickin know
Diabetes
I don't know, I would stay the course and only worry if it kept happening.
Maybe take a day or two of maintenance eating and start again if more fricky stuff happens.
>I would stay the course and only worry if it kept happening.
I will, I'm more annoyed than worried lol, finally dropped through the 100kg line and then this happens.
You have to be honest with yourself anon. I hope you are being honest
Who knows, just keep at it.
Presumably water. Salt-intake would affect it, but water weight doesn't really matter so I wouldn't adjust that. If your weighing yourself at different times of a day, sometimes before showering, sometimes after you'll also notice differences.
Still within the realm of normal fluctuation.
Have you had any alcohol? I tend to retain a lot of water (almost 2kg) the day after drinking and the effect is a lot more noticeable now that I'm in my 30s.
>Have you had any alcohol?
No I've been abstinent for years. Never had a fluctuation like this for all the months I've been working on it. But yeah it should be water.
OP do not worry and continue the same way, as long as the trendline is in decline. If it starts happening more frequently I would start to look for reasons.
Could just be a higher carb + salty meal.
Personally I weigh myself every morning and check the weekly average loss/gain.
You probably just didn't take a shit or had some salt or something that increased water retention. Don't expect to keep losing at the same rate though, as you slim down it gets harder
It's gods way of telling you that no man should be below 100kg, and to start bulking.
First of all. It is Albertooooo
Second, good job
Did you adjust your calories? What made you loose weight before might not be enough of a deficit anymore. Although your weight loss already seems quite linear
I've been on ~2000 cals/day for the whole time (16 weeks). I don't think I could do less without being hungry all the time (and failing the diet).
you've been on 2k calories a day and you've dropped 1.6kg/week? what the frick? how much do you weigh?
See the OP
1.6kg a week is a deficit of 1760 calories a day. unless you're doing 4 hour+ walks with inclines then this 'catch up' is to be expected.
the initial 5kg loss is always largely water weight too, in my experience.
basically, nothing to worry about but i would decrease the amount you eat by like 100 or 200 calories each month to account for your decreased weight.
pro tip: if you drink 0.5 liter of water, you're no longer hungry, also, just because you're hungry doesn't mean you're starving.
You need to break through that mindset.
how was your weight loss the same at 125kg as at 110kg. your deficit should have been much larger when you were havier as your TDEE is higher
but 2000kcal at 100kg should still be enough to loose weight. I managed to get to 75kg at 2000kcal, just keep grinding king
Yeah I kept expecting it to level off but it didn't.
Long term trend is important. Not short term blips
are you female? weight spikes leading up to a bleed.
are you moronic? low iq leads up to stupid posts
