Why are people so autistic about strength here?

Why are people so autistic about strength here?

They don't have the discipline to track calories and macros so they just convince themselves that they lift for strength and like to believe they're better than all the aesthetic curl bros

      That’s true tho
Anyways I lift primarily for strength, mostly because I run a lot in the morning and lift typically after work. So I’m pretty pooped by the end of the day and such would rather just lift for “functionality” than to look like a bodybuilder. However I do squat a lot, many of the compounds and body weight exercises are pretty much all you need to get looking good.
      >post body
I will not as I have distinctive tattoos that get made fun of on here because this board has become autisticly obsessed with tattoos these past few years.

PPL and other roidschedules are a fucking scam. If your routine has 7 exercises all targeting the same shit each workout you will not progress as a natty.

So what routine did you end up on?

Sounds like you progressed past your beginner routine and you needed to get on a more intermediate program.

Why are people so fucking retarded Jesus Christ

5x5 and 3x8-12 will not result in significantly different mass gains despite what IST will tell you.
Someone who is properly jacked will almost always be strong and someone properly strong will almost always be jacked. Obviously there are outliers and people who min-max particular lifts (300kg wide stance+bendy bar sumo deadlifts, 4pl8 hyper arch bench etc) but in 99% of cases size and strength are extremely closely related.

Yep, translating to a simpler language.
Everyone who tells you that a bigger muscle does not equal stronger muscle is a fucking retard or trying to sell you some meme program

Bodybuilding training = vanity = bad
Strength training = stoic = good
In reality you should be doing both at different times of the year. Splitting up the 12 months:
    >5 month bulk hypertrophy focus
    >1 month cut neutral focus
    >2 month bulk hypertrophy focus
    >3 month bulk strength focus
    >1 month cut, assess your progress
Maybe do a 3 month segment where you just maintain your lifts and focus on cardio or a sport.

I never saw a remotely good looking dude doing SS/SL or any of the full body shit, it's always skinny-fats or bloatlords
sure, there are lots of DYEL's doing PPL and brosplits but on average they're much better looking than the full body nerds

Doing PL style training indefinitely will leave you with disproportionately small arms. Bros doing an enormous volume of curls, extensions, and machine presses will end-up with big arms. You're never going to get big triceps doing wiiiiiide grip bench for 3 reps with a giga-arch.

SS isn’t powerlifting style and most good powerlifters are running hypertrophy blocks
