It's cheaper to produce and they sell it to you at the price of meat. Same with all the bug shit.

This. Plant "meat" is a lot cheaper than real meat to produce yet costs the same (if not more) as real meat. 1 kg sojbeans=€4.50, 1 kg ground soj "meat"=€17, 1kg ground beef (5% fat)=€12.50. So as you can see they can charge 4x as much simply by grounding the soj instead of selling the whole beans, likely profit margins are even higher since beans don't contain as much water.

You are a fricking moron. Hurr durr, they’re not using pure beans.

Ok it says soj protein and not soj beans so I stand corrected. The budget version (€10/kg) ground soj "meat"
          >water, soj protein (23%), canola oil, onions (literally onions and not the filtered word), salt, spices, natural aroma, caramelized sugar, stabilization agent (methyl cellulose)
So that's sold at like what, 10x the cost of the ingredients it?

You’re still thinking in terms of product and not the process. Ever wonder why vegan food is more expensive than real meat? These factories are carbon neutral nor are they efficient. It isn’t cheap to turn shit or ashes into diamonds, so why do you just take the price of shit?

      >It's cheaper to produce
Bingo and all the while they charge even more for it because it's """"""""organic"""""""". It's honestly a great scheme for morons who have no concept of nutrition.

Tuna has mercury. Deenz feed off plankton at the bottom so they're pretty safe from heavy metals. Everything has microplastics at this point most likely

There's 50 or 60 harvests left in the US because corn and s o y subsidies have depleted the soils health. Leadership thinks cows are going to be luxury meat as a lot of corn and s o y goes to feed them, but it's just miss managing food.

The only way to restore the soils health is to have dairy cows graze in smaller pastures and to constantly move them as they eat most of the plants, poop nitrates back into the soil, and use the cows primarily for dairy. If I were a dictator I could probably fix agriculture in the US while still keeping a calories dense diet rather than refeeding your population industrial waste like seed oils and s o y.

      > To fix soil we need more cows
      > The soil is fricked because we use the shit we plant on soil mostly to feed them
Tell me again how you're a moron?

        Anonymous

In order to repair soil you need herbivores. The way we graze now in which cows eat only select grass and are finished in feed lots isn't healthy for top soil. Getting cows to graze how bison or other large herbivores graze (closer together and eating less select grasses) actually would fix the soil. So moving to primarily grass fed large herbivores would work the best and is the ONLY way to create natural soil health it just requires more labor of moving cows between smaller fields more regularly.

“’A nation of vegetarians would be a nation of slaves serving a small elite of meat-eating aristocracy.’ It is the reason why the globalists are actively trying to destroy livestock herds, destroying meat processing plants confiscating the land of farmers. It is to push the masses to accept a diet of vegetables and insects. In ancient Greece and Rome, they were careful to not allow slaves to eat too much meat or exercise to much least they became strong enough to overthrow their masters. Despite what the propaganda says bugs are not a good substitute for real meat. Sure, bugs may be a good source of protein but what is often left out is the key role animal fat plays in the health of human beings. Just compare the decline in health in the west as animal fats (butter, lard, and tallow) was replaced with vegetable oils. The Fabian socialists that want a global state where humanity is enslaved will incrementally take away our rights and weaken our minds and bodies over decades until they have enslaved us all and we own nothing. Do you really think the CCP could rule over China if every Chinese man had steak and eggs overnight for dinner giving him a strong body and mind? Tyranny takes root in the frail bodies of vegetarians and bug eaters. Steak and Eggs is the food of freedom and prosperity and human dignity in the face of the global communist subversion.”

    It's profitable

The meat is the only thing that's even close to $1/pound for these companies. If you can replace the meat with some onions/seitan and charge the same if not more for a "healthier" option, that's more profit for the company.

      >red meat is linked to heart diseases and different GI cancers
      >Cattle need thousands of acres of land. They also emit tons of CO2
      >Most animals are fed with antibiotics. india is already using the strongest antibiotics to prevent infectious diseases amoung chickens
      >Most meat products are processed and have nitrites and nitrates

Plant based food requires very little land compared to cattle, and is much healthier for amerifats. The only issue is that most of it is too processed. Anyways, I'm down for going plant based on weekdays, but also eating a steak on weekends. Just for balance and sustainment.

Companies do not have morals. They're primary objective is to increase profit margins and decrease losses. Anytime a company claims to "support x thing", it's because they're catering to a market.

        >red meat is linked to heart diseases and different GI cancers
There is no cause and effect relationship seen between red meat and heart disease or cancer. We don't have data showing that. Correlation is not causation. By that logic, ice cream will make you drown.

        >Cattle need thousands of acres of land. They also emit tons of CO2
How many cattle are you actually talking about? I know people who raise cattle on a tiny plot of land in their backyard. Cattle doing what ruminant animals do contributing to climate change is moronic. In America, we had hundreds of millions of bison that fill the same niche that cattle do. Why would that destroy the environment? We have no idea how the methane produced by cows is cycled through the atmosphere.

        >Most animals are fed with antibiotics. india is already using the strongest antibiotics to prevent infectious diseases amoung chickens
What about animals being fed antibiotics? We have no idea the effect that has on the quality of the meat, and you can simply not buy meat that has antibiotics

        >Most meat products are processed and have nitrites and nitrates
If you get your meat products from your local gas station, sure.

You can pick and choose the sort of meat eat, you know? You can buy only grass-fed and finished, hormone free meat. You don't have eat what you see as shitty, bad for the environment meat.

It's like me saying I'm never going to eat plants because I don't support monocrop culture, GMO practices and pesticide use. That's not the only option.

Since going vegan I’ve felt the best I’ve ever felt in my life. I did carnivore, keto, etc but since cutting dairy and meat it’s been a game changer

I avoid fake meat since it’s not Whole Food and still isn’t healthy. Don’t automatically assume plant based foods are healthier.

Whether you eat meat, Omni, or vegan learn how to cook your own food since you know what you’re eating and what’s in it

To make money. Businesses only do things for a profit. The real question is where is the money coming from because I really fricking doubt they are making money off this shit from people buying it, I tried an impossible whopper once just for shits and giggles and It made me feel sick. No normal human buys that shit.
