      rowing is also a good tool for explosiveness, so long as the machine has variable resistance.

    i bought a kayak and live near the sea. it might not be rowing but i prefer fresh air over looking at a wall and counting down the minutes

        $400-a few k. i wouldnt buy the cheapest but for example i paid 900 for the feelfree aventura 14ft sea kayak. dep3nding on where you plan on doing your majority of paddling like lakes or rivers you might get a shorter kayak. where i live in europe there isnt a big market like in the US but luckily feelfree kayaks can be bought here and they offer very good bang for buck

    i can't pace myself on a rower, something about it forces me to go 100%, can't get a good workout in, it just becomes a bunch of 500m sprints

      towers have higher vo2 max, and variable resistance on a rowing machine makes it better for explosive hiit. swimming is fine but eh, need a pool

    what are you rowing today? On water practice fell through so I´ll do 10 x 500m with 2 min rest in between, trying for 1:35 split. Should do more long steady state but I fucking hate it.

      never done anything but erg, rowed 5000m, bit of a beginner.
