              Yes I was never arguing against animal product consumption. I eat meat and eggs everyday and drink 2L on top of everything else because I'm bulking. It's also arguably the most ethical thing to do because we made the animals that we eat serve a higher purpose. Their inevitable fate is the same as ours namely death but instead of standing around grasing or picking bugs of the ground until they croak one day we can repurpose them to be our food and fuel our species. Animals are the most convenient source of nutrition on the planet.

        I think you should eat carbs if you're consistently performing athletically, I mean like consuming a significant portion of calories via exercise - most of these people are either training 2x a day (oly, PL), or are performing in short-medium distance cardiovascular sports (swimming, track, biking), so they are training near capacity. The average gymgoer doesn't need to chug carbs (although they may choose so if it helps them perform better), many guys I know in BJJ don't eat a lot of carbs and are really active. I don't think carbs are the devil or anything but reducing carbs helps me with steady energy through the day whereas eating carbs puts me into rest and digest very quickly regardless of if I'm adapted or not.

          I found that 4 powerlifting workouts and 1-2 times swimming for 1 hour per week on top of just the regular walking I do day to day is enough to eat a ton of carbs and not gain fat at all.

          You can't really 'avoid' carbs and bulk at the same time. You won't really meet the excess energy needs that are required for weight / muscle gains.

          during lockdown i worked out at home and ate everything and gained went from 60kg to 90kg
          at christmas i started a physical labor wagey job and i stopped eating carbs at the same time, lost tons of fat and dropped down to 78kg in 2-3 months
          now everytime i ate carbs, even muh safe carb such as rice. it prevents me from sleeping and secondly i can wake up with with crazy fricking leg cramps and an arthritis type feeling in my hands which may or may not be gout - my skin on my hands feel tight, bloated and itchy.

      Life expectancy is going to largely depend on lifestyle and genetics more than anything.     I tried both carbs or unlimited kcals with keto
    no changes at all, calorie counting is a must
    I was eating huge amount of meat and greek yogurt and I was maintaining my disgusting 25% bodyfat body
    now eating less calories with carbs, not that much but still carbs and Im steadily losing fat
