Most mma fighters do not lift many weights. Usually they do calisthenics and sometimes roids. Weightlifting like you do for hypertrophy, bodybuilding, or power lifting is not popular among successful fighters.
The movements required for MMA will work many of the aesthetic muscles, plus despite what fit thinks, 90 percent of competitive MMA fighters/grapplers lift. Pure striking sports highly select for height, reach, and speed, therefore they tend to lift less.
why do almost all pro athletes in a sport where muscle mass and strength matter select for people that has strength and muscle mass? Why is the top 100 of like hundreds of thousand looking like this?
because they have dedicated teams of people who meticulously plan their diet and training (which includes weightlifting). They also grapple and spar a lot which is more than just cardio, its literally the most functional strength training there is, it's literally fighting another man.
Cause they need have low BF to have good en durance or fighting (few things are fatiguing than fighting). This isnt the case for people who life. A lot of people who lift have shit discipline/alcohol addiction and look like shit because they have high BF 24/7

Are you guys stupid? The answer is that elite sports select for GENETICS. I have been lifting 5 years and still don't look as good as this guy I used to lift with a couple years ago who had been at it for 6 months. It was a brutal redpill, not that I'm going to stop lifting anyway. But there are people out there who only need to touch weights or do some calisthenics to absolutely blow up and then there are people who can't even do a single pushup without training.
They actually train to be athletic, and much of their day is physical training, as opposed to sitting at a computer. People at the gym often train to look good, which ironically doesn't make you look good. There is nothing guiding them or how to get yourself to look good other than googling shit that is wrong. Athletes have specific goals about strength and endurance and power that guides them. Real actual goals, not "10 ways to get your shoulders wider. what girls want" stupid trash.
They train the most important muscles, the ones to kill.
