You’re in for a shock what old age does to your body. This guy is in his 60s minimum. This is still peak 99%. The stomach is the only thing that looks like shit

Im not saying he is in bad shape, he clearly works out. But the physique looks trash yet its super common amongst middle aged and up dudes. You are telling me they are all abusing steroids? For what reason? Does my physique just completely go away once i hit 40 if i dont roid up?

            >Does my physique just completely go away once i hit 40
Yes. No. It does change with age for the worse. Your glutes/ass start sagging, your belly too even though you are low bf with good muscles.

Yep. I just turned 40 and you definitely have to work harder to stay lean. I’ve noticed I put more fat on under my chin than I used to for example.

Put on more muscle and get a calorie calculator. I found that I wasn't getting enough protein in my diet and when I fixed that and got extra sleep my gains started back up and my fat started to go down.

You get arrogant as you get older, using a calorie tracker becomes a real eye opener if you actually log every damn thing you eat. When you get older you just have a higher tolerance for shit. I can drink more and eat more and not feel the same level of intoxication or satiation as I did when I was younger. When I started adjusting my diet things started to fall back into place. When I ate more filling foods like veggies and protein instead of junk carbs I ate as much as I did prior, but it was less calories. Eventually my appetite started to taper down on it's own. Same with beer. I used to need to drink 4 or more just to get buzzed. Since I restricted that I just drink less to get the same feeling. That's still the hardest because I love drinking, but I do like the fact I look better and it takes less to get the same out of it when I save the drinking for an actual worthwhile occasion.

You will never get back the same levels of returns as when you were back in your peak, obviously, but you can do better than you think.

I think it’s ok if you literally get medically diagnosed with low T, but for most lifters it’s not something you need until about mid 50’s. It’s just big pharma pushing more monthly payment schemes on rubes, fix your diet and lifestyle first

Because your recovery is absolute dogshit and there’s no way to maintain muscle mass at that age when you lift 3 days a week

It absolutely does though he’s right.

Yeah if you’re blasting massive amounts every week. Most men of age who are on TRT take low doses controlled by a physician

I would buy this if it was just skin, but its clearly the muscles. Unless you are saying my abdominal and glutes actually start to sag? How do you prevent that? When does it start?

You'll be fine, anon. I'm 41 and the only real difference I've noticed is it takes ever so slightly longer to recover from injuries (like a slightly pulled muyscle might take ten days rather than 7) and the metabolism effect - like you REALLY need to keep a strict diet if you don't want to end up a fat cunt. Apart from that, there's no discernible difference between 31 and 41 that I can see. Will it be like this at 51? Probably not. At 61? Almost certainly not. But by that point, the docs can throw T at you.

It becomes more difficult to build and maintain a decent physique as you age. It’s not impossible though. The reason why this guy looks like he roids is due to the combination of capped delts and hgh gut

Bullshit. Picrel is me post 40 during a bulk. On a cut now. I actually hate telling people my age because I like being thought of as younger looking, it's one of the nice things about being fit and taking care of your skin. The reactions are always the people being shocked genuinely.

I don't even lift over half the year. I'll basically lift from January to April. Then Summer hits and I start doing a lot of outdoor activities. I'll taper off as Fall hits and then enjoy the holidays which gets me fat. Then I start back up in January. Lifetime natty and I have no interest in looking huge like a roided out freak.

I know guys who are on HRT and they have shit diets and horrible discipline. Yea, they're strong, but look like shit. I don't know if just with HGH, but this guy has roid gut. Which is when the PEDs you are using actually increase the size of your intestines until they are literally pushing against your abdominal wall.

At this point I do consider HRT, but as a lifetime natty I don't really have an interest. Not ruling it out, but I like not having to worry about the shit ton of sides and all the people I know who do it look old as fuck. Dry, red skin, veiny physiques that don't look natural. Obviously you also have potential hair loss.

I played the long game and am a lifetime natty have a full head of hair, good skin and easily pass for someone 10 years younger. Sure I'm not as huge as those influencers on roids, but who cares? Everyone one of those guys end up getting addicted to steroids and it ends up biting them in the ass as they lean into a self inflicted body dysmorphia.

It has served me well. I used to get in fights when I was tiny. It's what got motivated to work out in the first place.

So in my head I still always kind of feel like that wimpy kid that got picked on when I was 5'4 as a freshman in highschool.

I'm over 6' now, and about 190-200 in that pic and it always surprises me even today when people find me intimidating. I still think like a little, scrawny kid who is used to being pushed around. It's clearly body dysmorphia, hopefully a minor case of it, but yea... These days, and for awhile now, I can literally see guys size me up and back down when considering a confrontation, because I still remember the days when they wouldn't hesitate to fuck with me.

              It's a good feeling.

its a function of your pancreas and liver. cardio wont really help. you need to lift heavy and avoid issues with insulin production and liver sensitivity to insulin. basically cut out carbs/plants entirely.
