      How tf do you get rid of it?
      I noticed it start in my 30s and it keeps getting worse. I used to be flat like a plank of wood. Now my belly is bloated looking and feels 'full'. I can still see my abs, there is very little fat on-top of the abs, as I have always been natually low body fat. If I stop eating fibre and fast, the bloat is still there, leading me to believe it is either visceral fat, or my organs have enlarged.

        I don't drink alcohol.
        Most of the belly growth has happened in the last couple of years.
        I haven't changed anything much in the time.
        Right now I'm going to try a low carb diet and see if that helps.

      Yep. Back when I used to eat oats all the time I had a stomach like this, and I was lean. I used to only swim first thing in the morning because after breakfast I would be distended all day, and I thought that was NORMAL lol.

      I was such an idiot thinking oats and broccoli are "health foods" even though my body was telling me otherwise. I eat zero fibre for the past several years and it has fixed all my digestion issues and I have a nice flat stomach all day.

        I went to a doctor about being bloated and not being able to shit, at the worst I hadnt taken a shit in over a week. He even scoped my bowles and I got nothing out of the fricking thing.
        Only thing doc told me was to eat more fiber, even prescribed me a fiber supplement but the fricking fiber was the one thing that completely fricked me up.
        After minimizing fiber my gut works "okay", at least better than with fiber.

            The doctor was even a fricking gut specialist I think. So frick doctors, I havent gotten help from the c**ts for a single thing I go for them.               I’m 42 and had a bunch of digestive issues: diarrhea, indigestion, heart burn, shitting 4-5 times a day. My doc sent me to a gastroenterologist who was a nice guy. He talked to me for 5 minutes, diagnosed me with IBS, and did a colonoscopy with me a couple weeks later where he found nothing of note.

              It wasn’t until after all was said and done that I realized he never really asked me anything about my diet other than “do you eat healthy?”

              I suspect that the doc had good intentions and probably really wanted to help me, but American health care is such a conveyor belt. We’re cattle that the doc sees for 10 minutes before doing the most expensive procedure they can bill and moving us on down the assembly line.

              I ended up altering my diet (less grains and gluten, more fiber and unprocessed meat, and cut out garlic/onions/cruciferous vegetables), taking probiotics (taking very expensive ones that I assumed would be a scam but seem to help a lot), and I stopped taking L-Arginine supplements because I suspect they were fricking with my gall bladder.

              Moral of the story is you should be skeptical of docs, but you also need to be skeptical of what people on a Mongolian cat herding forum tell you. Do some research and try some different things to see how your body reacts.

              Had IBS-M for half my life and cutting out fiber did wonders.
              Honestly looking at a lot of studies on fiber they don't even suggest more is better. Just that people who eat more vegetables are better off than people eating a lot of processed food.
              Grains are the worst for me indeed but I didn't see much improvement adding fiber or fiber supplements on it's own. Just eating less grains in comparison did more.
