Why do people act like being fit or muscular prevents you from being an intellectual or a smart person?

Why do people act like being fit or muscular prevents you from being an intellectual or a smart person? I've been working out regularly for the last 2 years and I agree neglected my studies or hobbies. I'm even learning 2 new languages, Chinese which is the one my university demands me to learn and Japanese which is the one I wanna learn

Mostly because we're conditioned by grade school, in which free time tends to be a little more limited and so folks end up taking a one or the other (or none) attitude.

There's no harm in learning a little gerrman on the side. Frankly, if an english speaker can get a good grasp of mandarin there's really no language they cannot learn.

Because NEET homosexuals infest this board. I moved home and lift every day while studying javascript so eventually I can move out and get my own home.

Because you being fit makes them look at their flaccid, weak bodies and justify their mediocrity.
"I'm too busy learning things!" is the easiest go-to cope for the mediocre.

Ties into the dumb jock stereotype

I hate when I express an insightful opinion and people say “shut up and dribble you jock” due to my height and athletic physique

It's because jocks are typically denser than lead. Just look at half the strongmen or body builders.
It's a shame too. The halo effect will literally boost your position in any social circle, just due to being jacked.

Have you ever been to a gym?
Most lifters/athletes are actually pretty dumb
Even in my uni gym most of the serious guys are pretty average academically with some exceptions
The studious types often just don't enjoy lifting and prefer cardio if anything

stereotype from muh high school romance drama. Normies only see things from the perspective of the media the consume they have to make the strong jock guy dumb else the weak nerdy kid wouldn't have anything going for him.
In reality the body and mind are intertwined if one is lacking it drags down the other. To really make it you need both the mind of a scholar and the body of a warrior.

Autistic incel nerd boring losers are usually ugly and have shit genes, so they studymaxx like a pathetic dog and waste their youth and 20s to get into a high paying Job, to eventually become a beta bux. Meanwhile the tall, attractive sport guys don't need to study as much yet have 100x more fun in their youth and have a better life experience

It’s just cope for fat and skeletor academics to justify their undesirable physical appearance and unhealthiness. Given the chance, they’d all pay for a perfect body if it was available to them.

it's because you don't have to be smart to be fit
the two aren't mutually exclusive, but even an idiot who works his ass off can get fit
no one is 100% sure on Plato's real name
Plato just mean's "broad shouldered" meaning one of the most famous philosophers of all time would've been known as "Fricking Jacked" if he was born in modern times

    It's copium from normies.

Normie slave philosophies think everyone is equal and therefore all got the same amount of attribute points on the character selection screen when they were born like an RPG. So if someone is attractive or athletic, then that means that they are deficient in some other stat, usually intelligence, hence the meme that bodybuilders or models are stupid. It's a way for normies to justify their inadequacy by pretending that they make up for their shortcomings but being more intelligent.

In reality, it is usually the case that if you are good looking that you are also athletic and smart. Mother nature is a cruel c**t but that's just how it is. The only advantage normies have is that they are numerous which is why society is structured in the way it is to placate them.

It is the only way for a weakling or woman to maintain their pride or conceited sense of superiority in the face of physical intimidation

I guess its because you have to invest a relatively large amount of time into something that most people assume youre only doing to look better, this also gets reinforced by stereotypes. Whenever i bring up that working out helped me immensily with dealing with my chronic illness and my ADHD people immediately give me the "he is talking shit, he just wants to look better" look. It also doesnt compute with most people that working out can have many benefits for your mental health too. Most people just like to tell themselves that you cant have x if you want to have y, this way they feel better about themselves for not achieving as much as they actually could. All in all its just a cope because people like to believe that everyone who is better then them actually is worse then them atleast at something
