If you don't take it in conjunction with fin, it's like putting out a fire with a glass of water.
You'll experience some hair regrowth but won't treat the core of the issue (DHT).
Honestly if you're really serious about it, I'd say fin is more important than min altogether.
Min is toxic to pets which should tell you enough.

IIRC, some dude was in an accident where his scalp was burned and his hair magically started growing. Could've been electricity-related too but I remember his scalp was very badly damaged. Good blood circulation is essential for good hair but no one understands why DHT makes your follicles shrink. MPB is as great of a mystery as negative particles are in the cosmos.

ive been on fin + min for two years, i dont know if its slowed my receding, but it hasnt stopped it. but im 31 and my hairline is kind of ok, if i grow it out and have a zoomer cut, you wouldnt know i had a receding hairline. my fear is greying, i have a close look at my hair in natural on a weekly or fortnightly basis, and my dark brown hair is light brown around the temple, which means it will soon turn white. i also get a lot of white hairs every now and then, which i pluck out. i first noticed them in 2020 and have been plucking them out ever since. but i cant get them all, especially the ones at the back, which worries me.

also want to note that ive had no health side effects. i can still get and maintain an erection, and im healthy. the only possible side effect is that hairs are growing from my eyebrows towards my hairline on the sides of my temple. its not noticeable from 1 metre away, only up close in the mirror, but i still dont like it.

You'll keep on thinking that until your grey starts to come in and stubbornly refuses to do so in a cool or distinguished way and instead just makes you look piebald and scruffy. Grey hair and balding are very similar actually - the final product can actually look quite good especially if you're lucky with your skull shape and the pattern of what hair remains, but the *process* of achieving that final result looks like shit 9/10 and anyone claiming the contrary is coping.

The effect of minoxidil (blood dilation) can be emulated with head massages. You just need to be consistent. But the other anon is right that the core cause is DHT. Finasteride and Saw Palmetto kill DHT but it can cause side effects. The Japs have been working on a side-effect free cure but it probably won't role out within this decade.

Finasteride is the one that affects libido. It's also a much more effective drug than Minoxidil. But Min can cause increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and a bunch of other shit.
There's also combinations of the two, with "topical" Finasteride but even that can cause libido issues.

Only take fin if you’re okay with becoming a eunuch

Doctors actively tell men on fin to stop taking their medicine for months if they are trying to have a baby.

Your sperm production will cease almost entirely and your semen will become basically water. You will likely be able to maintain an erection still, and in many cases your free testosterone will even increase, but your overall androgen level will drop and in most cases your estrogen will increase massively due to the imbalance in androgen levels

I think I saw that free testosterone slightly increased for most men on fin but estrogen nearly tripled. That combined with near infertility is enough to discount it imo. Just get jacked and hop on TRT, looking like a teenage twink will seem less appealing then

Intense brain fog, cold sweats, hot flashes, watery semen, much lower libido, dick could get hard but felt "light and spongy" and very little sensitive. Paim in my nuts and sharp stab-like pains in my breast too every now and then. My nipples started feeling puffier. Felt way more depressed and prone to anger while on it too. Took it for 6 months, it was probably the most miserable 6 months of my life. Took almost two years for the sides to completely go away.

It's the only thing that kills DHT and thus lets you keep your hair. Issue is, ideally you hold on to your DHT since it does have some benefits if you're a man + fin can have sides.
They'll probably figure out a side-effect free drug in time but it's anyone's guess when that will happen.

            Anonymous

They already have, topical application fin/min combination sprays. You get almost as much DHT reduction in the scalp but your serum level is much closer to normal because it's not being flushed through your whole body and fricking your liver & kidneys. Also means it won't affect your prostate as much so less chance it'll mask cancer. Sadly for some of us even that isn't sufficient, apparently some men get Super Baldness or whatever and are completely unresponsive to drugs. There are supposedly more aggresive ones you can try but frick those, if people thought fin sides were scary, eesh, not taking a significant risk of impotence and incontinence because some chump on reddit swears some skeezy shit from a Russian online pharmacy gave him the scalp of a 20 year old.

I still have a full head of hair, my hairline just moved back a bit at the temples. If I start thinning I'm gonna hop on finmin as soon as possible

same shit happened to me, it started thinning around 30 or so and still looks the same at 36. It's fine if you're not an uncharismatic sperg.

That's literally just getting a mature hairline, it happens to most men at some point in their 20s.

    >hair hasn’t really receded
    >but gone from extremely thick to more stringy and thin
I can’t even style it anymore. I need to use wax or gel so it doesn’t sit limply on my head, when I used to just me be able to run my hands through my hair and it would stay put (even with gravity-defying styles).

Bring out the fricking CURE already.

I will always be jealous how well this motherfricker sports this hairline, I wish I could be like him.

    >there are a lot of women who would turn down baldies.
And there are a lot that won't so it's not really a big problem.

Fin is just more effective than Min, I'm telling you outright. It's THEE wonder-drug, except for the chance of shitty side effects.
Minoxidil will make your existing hair thicker if you're lucky, but if you have male pattern baldness, it won't solve it.
On that note, I suspect Christopher Nolan is either on Fin or Min, because he has a receded hairline but his hair is also quite thick.
At his age he probably doesn't care about potential sides anyway.

You have to re-educate women by only selling dolls & pop stars with receding hairlines.

Does fin have any side effects if a woman takes it? Like does it even matter if it lowers testosterone in a woman? My mother is having hair loss in her 60s and is looking to get something to stop it.

Literally how have scientists not came up with an easy cure for baldness yet? Men have seethed about this for 100s of years. They have cures for fricking cancers now with no bad side effects but not balding.

My hairline receding didn't bother me at all. What did bother me is when it started thinning on top and at the back. Thinning is its over level. Receding doesn't really matter that much.

Yes they did, it’s why people like Sean Connery and Robert Forster wore a toupee.
