i can eat 4k calories in a sitting but its going to moslty be empty calories. 2k clean calories is going to be a pretty large serving. idk what oats or powder your ehaving but most protein dense foods are very low in calories if not full of empty carbs calories as well.

Not OP but I really don't understand how I have a fast metabolism. I hardly ever left the house in five years and eat like a hog and my bmi has always been 17. I'm always cold too which is a sign of a slow metabolism too. What's going on?

I can eat comfortably and probably ballon up to 275lbs.
I have to impart rules about how much I can eat, when I can eat, and what I can eat to lose weight.
It takes me 1-2 meals to expand my stomach, and it will stay there until I fast.

All the answers so far is wrong. The answer is that you can grow accustomed to eating a high volume of food, and fatties have simply grown accustomed to doing so.
This, and also there are vicious cycles and vitruous cycles for hormones in fitness.
The problem is everyone is addicted to sugars and fast food. It’s way easier to get 2k calories in a McDonald’s meal than to eat 2k of clean healthy foods. And don’t even get me started on the sugar people ingest.
Starting in January I decided to cut out those things from my diet and I’m actually frustrated at how fast I’m leaning out. I like having size and although I’m looking more cut, my arms are shrinking as well. I actually liked the extra body fat, being swole is better than being shredded. But yeah, even if you want to eat like a fat fuck it’s pretty amazing how much harder it is to put on weight when you aren’t eating like garbage.

I dieted hard for 3 months, we are talking 1000 to 1500 cal a day. I suffered the entire time, I lost around 15 lbs doing this.
1 year later I just ate at maintenance the whole time and gained 7 lbs back.
My actual maintenance is around 1800 cal.
My appetite is around 3000 cal if not higher.
Post your fucking body. I can almost guarantee that you're not particularly heavy but are still like 17% bodyfat. Which isn't terrible, but it's indicative of what I'm talking about.
Try to get shredded. I know for someone like you it'll be easy for a few weeks but you're not going to get to single digit bodyfat effortlessly. You'll probably understand for the first time in your life what it feels like a fatty to get to a regular bodyfat percentage.
There's like a one in a million chance you'll get to like 8% bodyfat without even trying in which case I'll go fuck myself but realistically you'll be struggling hard
Living with my gf is an eternal struggle regarding this. She tries to help but then she leaves part of her plate and asks me to finish it, or buys snacks "just for her" but obviously that becomes hard to resist as well.
It's just hard to get to the point where you stop getting cravings and once you do you have to make sure you don't order fast food or it feels like you're on square 1 again.
But once you do, yeah, it's easy.
I'm almost one month in and could start fasting and not feel hungry looking at pictures of fast food.
It's simple but not easy. You must understand that a lot of people here have legit eating disorders, mental and emotional issues that make them binge or whatever.

Obesity is literal malnutrition. The signs and symptoms are virtually identical to kwashiorkor. You won't lose weight, as your metabolism doesn't work. You only get tired as fuck and make it even worse.
The only difference between the two might be that you get kwashiorkor when you only eat starch and obesity when you also eat fat (which gets stored directly in the body).
Every time I have McDonald's I feel even hungrier than before and crave more McDonald's. They must put something in it that makes you addicted to them
