              You can over eat sugar by using that for instead of other sources of calories getting a balance of protein carbs and fat and the nutrients that come from them. Not to mention sugar is inflammatory and high intake significantly increases your risk of infections, stomach ulcers, diabetes, heart disease, and kidney failure. I’m a medfag m8 I have seen the effect of shitty high sugar and fat diets first hand, calories matter but there is more to it than that.

                The goal is as little added sugar as possible, so the closer you can get to zero the better. For men the recommended max is 36g. Personally I try to use raw honey instead of sugar since it is sweeter and requires less to get the same sweetness, plus it’s health benefits

    Provides many benefits (filling, calorie dense, nutritious, cheap).
    Can be used in many, many preparations to add variety to your diet whilist keeping it healthy/nutritious.
    Can get less refined whole grain.
    Zzzzzziiiinnnnccccc.

    It's like rice's cousin.

    Prepare it and add fruits, honey, chocolate, cinnamon, ginger, whatever to it...it will probably work. Cook it in milk too. Sweet and healthy treats/deserts.
    Say you toast them and add them to your yogurt or whatever. Added textures, added subtle flavours. Cereal can fuck off.
    Make cookies, cakes and whatnot with it. Use it for crusts. You lower the shitty part and up the nutrient part.

    Add it to salty preparations too, like mixing it in your minced meat and make a pie or whatever. Bigger pie, more good shit, nom nom.

    It's just good.
    It keeps you from going insane.
    If you have issues with bread and spagett or whatever and rice is becoming a cross you must bare every day, it saves you. its easy and fast to prepare so you don't need to figure out how to make sweet potatoes into different desserts if you crave something sweet often and fruit isn't cutting it.

    It feels like home too
    Hot bowl of oatmeal.

    Also smoothies.
