Imagine chasing numbers (no one cares how much you lift for 1 rep) instead of actually looking the part. Don't do barbell bench, only do squat for reps like 10+, don't barbell deadlift because it's not an athletic, functional lift. Could find me doing some dumbbell deads or trap bar deadlifts to finish off forearms on arm day or legs.

Here's an entire video of Mr. Olympia doing nothing but machines to build a massive monster man chest. Keep coping. If you knew anything about building muscle you'd know cables are the number 1 exercise for activating the most fibers in the pecs. Don't give me the "steroids" cope, hypertrophy mechanics don't magically change when you add gear.

I don't risk blowing out my shoulders and discs maxing out. Numbers are also irrelevant because of biomechanics and leverage. Machines are actually the ultimate equalizer but still longer limbs will be disadvantageous.

Well obviously a bigger frame is going to increase the ceiling of your muscular potential. But you need steroids for that to really matter. But yes once again you're proving I'm superior because I'm taller and naturally heavier with more muscle.

Numbers can be adjusted for height and weight and you can get a reasonable guess on how you can compare to different lifters.

I do lift heavy objects. Just not the barbell compounds everyone thinks you need to do. Why isn't anyone getting this? Do bench with incline dumbbells because it's a more natural movement for your joints. Do deadlifts/RDLs with dumbbells or trap bar because it's a more natural movement that puts less strain on your lower back than having the weight in front of you, especially with my tall long leg build. Do light weight high reps and control the weight on barbell squat, no bouncing out of the hole or overly wide stance to lift the most weight, do hack squat heavier and control it because there's less stabilization and less risk. This is simple, logical stuff training like a bodybuilder not a weightlifter.

                Anonymous

You do not lift heavy objects. You will never lift heavy heavy objects. These lifts have always been, and will always be, the staples of strength training, health, and muscle development. It’s ok to do other things WITH these lifts. It is not ok to do everything BUT these lifts and pretend you’re some chad. You’re weak, your genes are weak, and you’re so far up your own ass and full of moronation that you are NGMI. Reflect on this and then promptly have a nice day.

There was a guy doing 300lbs squats for reps and the old bar he was using was getting somewhat whippy, so I wanted to tell him there was a brand new and more solid bar he could just steal from the incline bench. But I felt like it would be bad to give him any advice because he squats more than me. Was that correct, or am I just a social autist?
