Why do so many benches have such deep fucking catches?

Why do so many benches have such deep fricking catches? I lose like 2 reps because of the extra effort it takes to get the weight on an off. All you need is just a teeny bit of lip to keep the bar from rolling off.

Are you a b***h? Ask for a lift off if you really give that much of a frick

Yeah because this is definitely a commercial gym with tons of people around.

The bench at the public gym I go to is even worse to the point where I bench in the power cage instead.

Stop being a gay. Improve youre form and honestly just stop benching all together, it’s the gayest lift of them all

Most eftective upper body lift. Just fix technique and stop crying about bench. There's a reason it's one of the 3 main lifts, while your lat puldowns aren't

        Listen "bro"

It's not called a Power Rack when it's in a public gym. This is a squat rack.
Where me and other non DYEL use religiously 2 or 3 times a week to get this... SQUAT

Now what gets our goat is when we see some puny snotnosed broccli head zoomer using the SQUAT RACK for anything OTHER than SQUATTING

So when you see us quadfathers a comin' move you shit out of there before I Ass to Head you and not Ass to Grass you

It's a small town normie gym. There's only one guy there who respectably squats and the rest are zoomers who box squat that I don't care if I'm taking equipment from

You chose to buy a goofy piece of equipment from walmart/dicks. Just shut your wienersucker and learn to press. Fricking acting like a woman. A lot of us here learned the press of worse benches than this 20 yrs ago.

You're losing 2 reps on your 105lbs bench because you have to unrack it yourself? Kek wtf.

      >Bar + 2 x 45 + 2 x 35 + 2 x 10 =
      >105?????????

Always something to complain about isn't there, why are you lifting in the first place if unracking the bar is too much for you

On a well designed rack you can be in front of the catches and just roll the bar off with minimal effort instead of having to get up right underneath the weight and throw it off.

Your plates look a lot different than mine, for some reason I thought your 45s looked like my 25s or 35s.

You lose 2 reps cause you don't have a spotter. Just don't excessively overload and when you do want to 1rpm get a friend to come over.

That's why I bought monolift arms for my Rogue ML rack. They're perfect.

Those are some shitty benches because all the benches I have ever seen usually have 2-3 heights for placement.

Sad thing is the whiny fricker probably could've found a full-size rack 2nd hand for 1/3 of the price...and he'd still be b***hing about something.

Lol. Look at his Fisher Price db setup. Now ask yourself again, does this look like a grown man that owns tools?

lmao just trying to be helpful

Just put some wood in the hook to elevate it

So would you screw it or glue it? or something else? Going to be a lot of wear over time.

lol I didn't even clock those dumbbells. No way this Black person is benching what's on the bar if those paperweights are any use to him.

I can't make webms because I'm away from my computer so you'll have to deal with a catbox link. This was the 5th set.

I'm guessing that knob on the back screws into a hole in the frame and the next hole down is too low for you. You could just measure up exactly where you want the hooks and drill a new hole for them.

How can one hole difference be too low for him if this is literally above his arm length?

OP has foolishly not shown me how this bench actually fastens so I can't answer that. I think he wanted to complain rather than a solution.

It's for all the armlets out there. It's better to sell a bench that works for both betas and arm Chads, even if the 30" arm Alphas have to try a little harder.
