These are the kind of people using dyel as an insult. I don't lift. I eat liver and brain, sometimes raw. I am healthier than any gym moron.

I used to make pate and eat it with toast and pickles but it would always take too long so now I just buy frozen liver and cook liver and onions once a week. I made a turkey liver pate once that was fricking amazing

      whats the recipe?

        Anonymous

it's late but im gonna do it for you
potatoes whatever way you like em, that's up to you.
anyway... slice liver into nice slices, put in pan, fry at the same time as you fry onion rings in another pan while mixing some cream in a bowl with some flour and onions sauce and pepper and a bit of salt. then you simply put the onion rings into the pan with the liver, then pour the cream on it and let it sit for a while.
serve with potatoes, sauerkraut and lingonberry jam. and perhaps grab a nice beer too if you like that kind of stuff.

I just made liver and onions for the first time this week. Wish I took a picture to share with the class but it looks pretty much like yours. The strong copper flavor and mushy texture will take some getting used to. Potentially placebo but I felt sharper and more energized since. I ate about half a pound with half a caramelized onion and mashed potatoes with cottage cheese. Next time, I think I'll mix it in my pasta sauce or spread it on toast with avocado and cheese. Stupidly cheap at my Walmart, about $2-3/lb.

          This recipe sounds great, thanks.

            Lmao
            >0.4 calcium
            >5% magnesium
            >7.5% potassium
            >trace omega 3
            >3% Vitamin K
            >3% vitamin E
            >7% Vit D
            >2% vit C

SOOOO nutrient dense. You would only have to eat 2 pounds of liver to hit your DV's on those nutrients. What a misleading image.

Yes, I eat exclusively liver for my daily nutient needs. Why point that out?

that’s an average sitting, although you shouldn’t eat that shit so regularly because of copper toxicity. hell you can’t eat polar bear liver because of its vitamin A is in the millions +

                >copper toxicity
Not a concern of mine personally since I supplement zinc in order to shoot thick ropes down my shower drain.

You get different numbers depending on which site you go to.
            Also
            >4 oz
If you're eating liver, you're probably going to eat 8-12 oz at once anyways. At the same time, the "nutrition facts" don't necessarily tell you how much of each nutrient is necessarily in a piece of food. The nutrition in food depends on the quality of the soil a plant is grown in and the quality of food an animal is fed for example. A food can either be deficient or more nutritious than the "nutrition facts" based on that.
            >DV's
Not necessarily hard requirements. The RDV's are fairly arbitrary.

I cooked venison liver once and it was AMAZING but every time i cook liver after that it taste sickening. Don't know what I'm doing different. I soak it in milk, I don't salt it. Just can't seem to recapture the first time

I just saw-tey the onions in butter til theyre tender then put more butter in the pan and cook the liver ~1 minute on each side. I buy frozen prepackaged thin sliced, skinned and deveined liver from the market. Easier to cook it when its like that, about 1/4 inch thick.

I absolutely love liver! You've just reminded me to buy some the next time I go grocery shopping! Do you have any favorite liver recipes that you can share with me?

I've recently developed a fondness for cottage cheese as well. Lately, I've been mixing it with milk or light yogurt, adding pressed garlic and half of an onion, also pressed with a garlic press. I season it with salt and pepper to taste. It's a delightful combination! You should definitely give it a try. Let me know how it turns out if you decide to make it for yourself.

This looks like you're eating from a Japanese toilet. Gross.

I assure you, it wasn't a Japanese toilet. I wanted to save on using dishware by mixing and eating the food straight out of the plastic container. However, it turned out that the container was too full! I ended up having to transfer it to a dish after all. Haha, that wasn't part of my plan! Anyway, thank you for reading my blog.

      >Salt to taste
Are you stupid? Cottage cheese is already high in sodium.

No I'm not, why do you ask? Do you feel the need to put someone down, just so you can feel better about yourself? Please come back after you will resolve such insecurities.

I just cannot stomach the texture. It's like chewing on a wet carpet makes me gag every time. I'm tolerant to most foods and most offal but liver I can't take at all.

for the same reason they hate brussels sprouts and broccoli, because dumbasses have no idea how to cook so they end up with flavorless slop. Both the broccoli and brussels sprouts my gf makes are packed with juicy flavor; brussels sprouts are my favorite actually.

go to an asian store and buy some of their spices. it will transform food and can even turn your shitty overcooked slab of meat into something tangible
