Why does powerlifting revolve around 3 of the least productive exercises for looking good?

Why does powerlifting revolve around 3 of the least productive exercises for looking good? It's like, if you want to take powerlifting seriously, you're basically resigning to the fact that you're gonna look like shit.

because they are the 3 exercises where you can generate the most power with the most muscle groups worked. hence powerlifting

You generate more "power" with the Olympic lifts. Powerlifting is a misnomer.

this, barbells have the most loading capacity to make you a stronger human being. Hitting around 1/2/3/4 or even just 3/4 benefits most sports

doing 3 main lifts instead of training a whole body and your entire musculature is utilitarianism? kek moron.

You mean strongmen bench, squat, and deadlift more than powerlifters?

Bench is very important in order to look good (all of the dudes I mire IRL all did bench, the old-school bodybuilders too). Even though you might focus on other chest exercises like DB incline or whatever, being strong on bench means being strong in these as well. Literally nothing built my chest better than repping 270 for sets of 10 on the regular bench. Though I do agree that you need other exercises as well, like incline, to change it up and improve balance.

Deadlifts are not needed, but they are not bad for building traps and forearms. Squats are easily the best exercise for legs, only dyels will argue against that.

No, because your upper back is the failure point for front squats most of the time

Deadlifts helped me get rid of love handles, is great for building overall strength in the body,

All compounds are great and should be incorporated fully in all lifting routines, honestly is lame to take steroids and look like a greek god while being unable to deadlift above 1pl8

Every powerlifting routine incorporates some form of rowing / chinning, and nobody is stopping you from accessorizing arms / shoulders.

Why do bodybuilders or people in lifting that only care about aesthetics give two shits about powerlifters or what they do? Its such an insecure cope.

Because the get strenght-mogged on the regular by dyels. Must hurt. Do both strength and hypertrophy and don't be a homosexual.

benching will overdevelop your lower pecs which will give you b***h breasts, if you focus more on OHP/Incline instead you will look good

I agree, they are so shit in fact that most powerlifters (outside of the heavyweight class) look complete shit and the worlds most renowned bodybuilders do them or some variation of them.
