You are using a dull razor. I would suggest using a new razor everytime you shave and remember go the same shave up to down not down to up. This will prevent rashes or ingrown hairs. Same goes for your balls and that little area between your belly button and dick. Shave with the grain
My experience differs. It fixes up the razor burn well and also reduces acne issues. If you *really* gouge yourself, then you're right, it doesn't do shit
I think my problem is just different. It feels like what happens is my skin closes around the cut hair and causes razor bumps about a day later when the hair can't get out properly. Doing multiple passes in different directions more or less solved the problem. Alum never did anything for me except dry out my skin even more so I only used it for nicks.
get a new razor
get some shaving cream. even cheap ones will do
shave under a hot shower, right after cleaning hair and neck
apply cold water right after shaving
When are you fricking morons gonna realize that hair has nothing to do with fitness. Every day there's like 30 fricking threads >"oooUUuOOoHhhhH I'm gonna take this random concoction of supplements and pajeet herbs to cure my baldness!"
Or >"OOOooUUUuuUOOooOHHHHh!!! This concoction of pajeet herbs and supplements made me bald!!!!!!!"
If you're balding you deserve it. If you get razor rash you deserve it. You're all fricking moronic. NGMI.

For a close shave you shave with the grain, then across the gain, then against the grain. As long as your razor is deadly sharp it's not a problem.
Is just an antiperspirant and won't do shit.
I understand the logic of doing 3 passes but that's never really worked for me.
It feels like I'm trying to shave hair that's not exposed.
I used to do it with my DE safety razor but I didn't have much success with it after switching to a straight razor.

This, or you are using a cheap, low-quality razor which will do this even when brand new.

How often are you changing your razor? I change mine every 3 weeks (when I get my haircut) and it helps
Shave with the grain and don't press hard as shit. Only go against the grain in the end and go light.
Also don't shave your body with the same razor you shave your face, if I do that my blade gets dull af for some reason
Jesus frickin Christ dude
Get an electric trimmer and just shave it down as low as possible

Isn’t this the lookism and basic hygiene board?
This is still somewhat health related, help the kid out, he's carving his face out every time he shaves, not asking if coffee is good for you.
I can't believe people still shave. It's 2022
Get a fricking trimmer and buzz that shit down with no guard to a stubble.
shave right after showering
