Keto is a diet for low IQ fat people who think that fruits are the same as eating candy.
Protein + fiber is the best way to cut.
this I don't know why anyone would give up fruits when cutting they're not calorie dense at all and extremely filling
>It makes you full
>extremely filling
all fat people cope terms
I just eat till I'm satiated, not fill up my stomach with whatever substance until I literally feel physically unable to put anything into my stomach anymore
Satiated = filling.
It's just unnecessary to limit your carb intake especially if you do any exercise
>Satiated = filling
How are you going to get full on shit you can't digest?
Are you actually moronic and think it just magically disappears within your body?
Because fruits are high in sugar.
And meat is high in protein
Next irrelevant metric please
Are you gays not aware of how insulin spikes and their effect to lose weight?
That's literally why eating windows work. The more sugar you consume, the less likely it is that your body will burn fat. It'll burn sugar instead.
If calories were all that mattered, then I could lose weight eating a single Ice cream cone per day.
That's not how it works.
Fruit with its fiber content doesn’t cause the glucose/insulin spike responsible for disease.
who gives a shit what matters is calories which fruits are not very dense in
See this is proof how shit fitness education is. Ketolards just say this as if its automatically a bad thing.
Fructose is even worse than glucose. The difference is a piece of fruit doesn't have much quantity of it. Try introducing fruit juice into your diet and see how you go trying to stay 12% bf 😉
Fruit juice doesn't have the fiber of the fruit itself, which is why it has about the same effect on your body as a can of coke. That shit is incredibly deceptive by having 'fruit' in the name.
Keto includes tons of vegetable fiber. I eat 200g of salad every day, 200g tomato, 200g cucumber, 150g avocado, ...
fiber has been shown to cause constipation
Why do israelites fear fiber? I have heard this but fiber always helps my digestion
They don't. Plenty of junk foods get advertised as healthy because they have added fiber. You have been israeliteed
Jews are the ones tricking you into eating indigestible, nutrient-devoid trash. You pay them a premium for "food" that literally does nothing positive for your body.
This guy shows up every thread trying to convince people fiber and plant foods are bad and have no benefit when literally every study has shown otherwise. Ignore him.
ZE STOOOOOOOOOODIES HaVE SHOWN
Okay
>This guy
>singular
Nope.
Also, see the evidence for yourself: https://youtu.be/xqUO4P9ADI0
>YouTube docs
Lol nope
All the studies he summarizes are fully cited in the video and you can go look them up for yourselves. At this point you're being willfully ignorant and avoiding new information.
>All the studies he summarizes are fully cited in the video and you can go look them up for yourselves. At this point you're being willfully ignorant and avoiding new information.
Those shitty videos have been floating around IST for years. Nobody here believes their lies. They are just cherry-picking studies in order to sell you a lifestyle.
>when I present studies that support my preconceived views it's science
>when you present studies which counter my preconceived views it's cherrypicking
>I am infallible, therefore only evidence which supports me can be correct
People like you are so obnoxious to discuss anything with. It's clear you're actively trying to push an agenda and won't even address the studies people counter you with, you just sperg about muh cherrypicking and muh propaganda while literally behaving like a propagandist.
>It's clear you're actively trying to push an agenda
This actually made me laugh.
>won't even address the studies people counter you with
Have you countered every study that says fiber is beneficial? Or have you only cited 0.0001% of outliers? Because if you are trying to prove something other than established scientific knowledge you need to present evidence that millions of people and thousands of studies are wrong instead of a few odd papers
Ok so what does it mean that I can find 1000 studies that say the opposite of each study he cites then? Am I "cherrypicking?" Legit question.
>Ok so what does it mean that I can find 1000 studies that say the opposite of each study he cites then?
And where are they?
>Have you countered every study that says fiber is beneficial?
No one has posted any.
Answer the questions instead of posting smartass rhetoricals
>Answer the questions instead of posting smartass rhetoricals
That's all ketolards do, smugly argue in bad faith to waste everyone's time. I've learned to stop conversing with them when I see the pattern arise.
Based thanks for the advice. Sometimes I can get trapped in my own head because I know they are obviously incorrect. I'll just quit.
So posting evidence and then asking for counter-evidence from the opposing side is arguing in bad faith and wasting time? Because that's all I've done so far.
You are the opposition. You have posted 0 evidence disproving the corpus of medical and scientific articles and thats not how scientific consensus works
I posted
which is a summary of multiple studies which demonstrate that fiber is not beneficial, including citations. Where are the pro-fiber studies? Show them to me, prove me wrong. So far I'm the only one to post anything even resembling evidence supporting a claim.
Good for youm. You have posted a summary of less than 10 studies which contradict the whole of all medical literature. You are free to start disproving all of the literature and you might finish before your 50th reincarnation.
Still no studies supporting the benefits of fiber. You are the one arguing in bad faith. So far the discussion has gone like this:
>Fiber is good.
>No, it's not, here are cited studies showing why with a concise summary.
>That doesn't count because I have 1000 studies that say otherwise.
>Can I see them?
>No.
Literally just Google "is fiber good for you?" you disingenuous homosexual
That's not how this works. You claim there is evidence that proves me wrong, so show it. I already produced evidence for my claim, but your only argument is "nuh-uh, that wrong 'cuz I said so."
Wrong. You have claimed fiber has no benefit which is contrary to all knowledge. You are the one who needs to present evidence, which you have not, you have presented a biased summary of a tiny few studies.
You are shifting the burden of proof. Have a good day. I'll not argue further
I'm not shifting the burden of proof. I provided evidence for my claim, now I'm asking for evidence of yours. You keep saying there's evidence but for some reason find it impossible to post any.
>I already produced evidence for my claim
You resented outliers that resonate with your belief.
From biased sources
And you have presented NOTHING except the insistence that mountainous evidence exists which you can't show me.
>I'll not argue further
>Literally just Google "is fiber good for you?" you disingenuous homosexual
He could very very easily search pubmed "fiber" and come up with a 1,000 studies that all confirm it's health benefits.
But he won't. He's not interested in learning anything. He's interested in pushing his shitty views.
>He could very very easily search pubmed "fiber" and come up with a 1,000 studies that all confirm it's health benefits.
So link some. Bring me evidence. That's how debate works. You don't just get to say, "lol google it gay" and declare yourself the winner.
> Still no studies supporting the benefits of fiber
I’m not that anon but here is a review of RCTs into the impact of fiber on your micro biome
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7146107/
TL:DR - Fiber is consumed by your gut bacteria that go onto release short chain fatty acids that do things like reduce inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, reduce cholesterol, etc…
/
Why can't I just eat these short chain fatty acids and holocaust the gut bacteria?
People who do holocaust their gut bacteria (typically those who have had many courses of antibiotics) are plagued by abdominal problems (crippling chronic pains, diarrhoea, vomit, etc lasting for months) will require fecal transplants
Or you could just eat your vegetables young man
ketones provide the requisite short chain fatty acids with none of the downsides of eating large amounts of indigestible plant matter
And none of the upsides
>why eat fiber when you could stress your kidneys and up your salt requirement and become totally devoid of pjytonutrients and critical vitamins and any variety at all huh
>>why eat fiber
i dont know which is why i dont
>improve your kidneys function
>and lower your blood pressure
>and become totally replete with vitamins and minerals
fixed that all for you
1. Citation needed
2. How should one get such ketones if they don’t want to be on a weight loss diet?
Because fermentation happens after those fatty acids would be absorbed in the intestine.
So far I'm the only one who has posted any evidence of why I believe fiber is not beneficial and may even be harmful. I'm not posting smartass rhetoricals, I'm asking for evidence from your side. I can't counter studies no one has posted and claiming there are 1000 studies that prove me wrong is meaningless unless you can actually produce some. That's all any of the pro-fiber people ITT can seem to do: make wild claims about the vast number of studies that prove them right without ever being able to actually post any. Presented with actual studies which run counter to their claims, they STILL don't link studies, instead just seething about cherrypicking and "muh 1000 studies" when I have yet to see even ONE in this thread.

>The Effect of Dietary Fibre on Gut Microbiota, Lipid Profile, and Inflammatory Markers in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomised Controlled Trials
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34073366/
>A disequilibrium of the gut microbial community has been closely associated with systemic inflammation and metabolic syndromes including type 2 diabetes. While low fibre and high fat diets may lead to dysbiosis of the gut microbiome as a result of the loss of useful microbes, it has been reported that a high fibre diet may prevent the fermentation of protein and may promote eubiosis of gut microbiota.
>Conclusion: DF significantly (p < 0.05) increased the relative abundance of Bifidobacterium and significantly decreased (p < 0.05) LPS, total cholesterol, and BMI as compared with the control.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7146107/
>Dietary Fiber, Gut Microbiota, and Metabolic Regulation—Current Status in Human Randomized Trials
>New knowledge about the gut microbiota and its interaction with the host’s metabolic regulation has emerged during the last few decades. Several factors may affect the composition of the gut microbiota, including dietary fiber. Dietary fiber is not hydrolyzed by human digestive enzymes, but it is acted upon by gut microbes, and metabolites like short-chain fatty acids are produced. The short-chain fatty acids may be absorbed into the circulation and affect metabolic regulation in the host or be a substrate for other microbes. Some studies have shown improved insulin sensitivity, weight regulation, and reduced inflammation with increases in gut-derived short-chain fatty acids, all of which may reduce the risk of developing metabolic diseases.
In contrast to an abundance of studies showing positive changes to health markers due to dietary fibre, I am not aware of a single study showing improved gut microbiota or improvement in other health markers on a low fibre diet.
The only studies are on people with IBS or some other chronic condition, and keto shills use this and extrapolate that it applies to everyone which is insane
>totally fair and unbiased evidence bro its not like its a low carb propaganda channel
Paul Mason is the quack who leads with the same study (oh hey it’s the first one in the video) of people with chronic constipation who were resistant to standard treatment and were referred to a specialist clinic.
Ffs 50% of the control group had anal bleeding, how is that applicable to the population as a whole?
>Ffs 50% of the control group had anal bleeding, how is that applicable to the population as a whole?
Because more fiber worsened all symptoms and less fiber improved all symptoms, all the way down to 0.
> Let’s say you have 1000 people with condition X.
> The first line treatment is product Y, which works for most of them
> You now have 100 people with condition X
> They go to their doctor
> Doctor tries treatment with medications A-H
> These work for most of them
> You now have 10 people classified as having a resistant form of condition x
> They are referred to a specialist clinic that is trialing a few things
> One treatment is a drastic reduction of product Y
> 6 patients show improvement in symptoms
> Quack and cultists distort this data to condemn product Y for the general population
That’s what you’re doing anon. You cannot extrapolate data from a specific and minuscule patient population group resistant to standard treatment and apply it to the population as a whole.
It’s akin to saying berries are bad for everyone because some people are allergic
In people with a medical condition. The study is totally irrelevant to 99.99% of people. that like saying people with an apple allergy responded well to subtraction of apples from their diet, and this proves apples are unhealthy
None of the studies Paul Mason pretends to cite actually support what he is saying on the video. Ketolards always lie.
And water has been shown to cause death
>he ate the entire container of psyllium
Can't remember last time I didn't wake up and had oatmeal
it's been almost 15 years, every morning it's oatmeal
Lemme just eat rocks to fill up my stomach. You dumb Black person.
I eat food to recover and feed my body/organs with needed nutrients. Not to feel full.
Rocks at least provide some essential minerals and don't frick with the absorption of other vitamins.
Bro i eat once a day, try to not be a willpower-let.
Why do vegans have such a hateboner for keto?
>Why do vegans have such a hateboner for keto?
keto is the gateway drug to the carnivore diet which will inevitably lead you to just starting eating meat and shit raw because cooking is fricking annoying
> Someone says fiber is good for you
> They must be a vegan shill
Christ
Welcome to the mental illness board, I'm seriously ranking this over /misc/ and /LULZ/ in schizo ranking these days
Because we don't undereat like you gays
They believe it's harmful. They are totally lost cause and should simply be gassed.
You're moronic and so is everyone that agrees with you. Broccoli, spinach, and kale are all keto. Why the frick do you care, and why the frick are you shitting up these boards with these moron threads?
>look at me guys, I defeated the straw man I built
>I'm so fricking cash
I'm not even keto but frick I'm not an ignorant moron.
They eat greens though which are full of fibre, you have a low IQ
>less
fewer
not everyone is trying to lose weight, fatass
post body
>literal nonsense post unrelated to OP
dishonest post by a fatty fatty boombaladdy
you make me sick you fat pig, and the way you try to lie when you get caught literally makes me throw up in my mouth, you are so pathetic
>Why don't ketards eat fiber?
They are convinced that fiber is bad for you, despite hundreds of studies that confirm its benefits and 1 study that says its bad.
I've been on a steady diet of steaks and I feel fine
i thought i was a ketolard and i eat carbs all the time
Not reading anything here
Everyone should eat at least 5g of psyllium a day the ghost poop alone justify it

keto must be the most strawmanned diet i've ever seen, literally every ketogay gurus like chiropractor Berg will tell you to eat 8 cups of salads a day just to load up on the fibers
It's not strawmanned at all. There are bazillion keto grifters out there all of them selling their own variation of the scam, why, because it doesn't work so they have to keep adding more minor variation bullshit to it all the time.
>indigestible plant matter
Not even ruminants digest cellulose you baka, it's for gut microbiome. Next time you exit your moron chamber, touch some grass with cow poop on it and observe how it's mostly undigested straws and shit. But even we can break the cellulose encased cell walls and that's where the nutrition is, not on cellulose cell walls.
>It makes you full on less calories.

Why do the discord trannies keep samegayging so shamelessly?
This is why we need thread IDs like in biz and pol
I went zero fiber for over a year and ended up with a bacteria infection that gave me nonstop diarrhea.
I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you are recovered and okay now anon
Thanks. It was horrible. I'm still recovering but I'm no longer shitting liquid multiple times a day.
Good to hear that your movements have improved, I hope for a full recovery soon. Carry the fire.
I went very low fiber keto for a like two months, and that caused so severe constipation i had to pluck the rock solid poop out my anus with fingers. I had to break it down to smaller pieces like that to get it out. the recommended high salt intake also played a role dehydrating my whole body including intestines. Still prone to hemorrhoids after that adventure, years later.
