If I ever bring up to a woman that I do yoga she would tell me I’m gay and laught. Sorry OP, not for me.

Most Yoga instructors are drowning in women. It's life on easy mode. Gays have their own studios of just men.

Why would I want women around when I'm trying to focus on something?

Are there studios of just men not filled with homos

It's an amazing stretch I have to say. I remember going to a class right after a heavy lifting session, back then I would always feel sore the next day. Zero soreness and did better on my next lifting day. I fricking hate yoga but damn it's good for me.

Don’t care , enjoy fricking tons of woman and acting like gay.

I don't think you need to worry about being perceived as gay by women in the short term. Willingly admitting that you allow female opinions to influence your lifestyle choices outs you as being a gigantic homosexual anyways. And in the long term, a woman will pick up on this shit. Choosing not to do something because women think x about it is so unimaginably simpy and gay.

Women who are into yoga are all fricking insane. I don't care how hot they are, I'm not spending time with a girl who has all of the astrological signs memorized and makes her own kombucha.

Most women are into astology regardless and better kombucha than eating like a pig and living in a messy apartment with 10 cats.

I don't think I have ever been to a group class.
One of the things I like about lifting is that it's so independent. Your own plan, schedule, goal and methods. Of course I like lifting with a buddy, showing him the ropes or learning from someone stronger. But it's explicitly understood that you ultimately have to learn how to do everything yourself.

          Anonymous

yoga is a bit different because it's difficult to gauge by yourself whether or not your form on particular poses is proper. so going to a group class where the instructor is actually good and corrects people can be beneficial at first. you can obviously start doing it on your own after a bit, but making sure you're doing things right from the get go is important.

    >always more women than men in classes
    >is fun
    >a little bit cardio
    >instantly close physical contact with women
    >women love a men who can dance

    yoga is based too
    i do both
literally the only option on a technical university to meet a lot of new women
i fricked half of the women and quarter of the men in my dance class last semester (admittedly there were only 9 women and 4 other men, but still)

      Based!
Dancing is another good one. It's probably the best in terms of social gains.

        Anonymous

exactly social gains and reading how most people here struggle with this, dancing would probably be THE best exercise

everyone there thinks you are a homosexual

i still frick the women so!?
yeah and the one dude was gay
but i don't care, only if they are attractive to me, although that's usually more women than men

I've wanted to do ballroom dancing for some time now (specifically the Waltz), but I was under the impression that most people go with their partners? You can just show up and have a woman assigned to you?

        depends on the class
in university people usually go there with their friend group and not necessary with partners thus the unbalance
in dance schools, there are specific single and partner courses whereas the single courses have way more women than men

        it's 4
I rounded up to half of them
to be fair, this one girl was missing a lot of classes, especially during the exam phase

though I think 2 of those 4 girls hook up more often (with other guys too), so I guess got a bit lucky with this particular dance class
the semester before I only had 1 girl, which is in this semesters class too, probably could call it a FWB at this point

I go 2x a week, usually Tues/Fri. I'm not there to be a master yogi or whatever, just want to stare at 21yo prime ass in yoga pants and the increased flexibility. Also I sleep like a rock on yoga days. I do hot yoga, room is 106F and 60% humidity. Feels fricking amazing afterwards.

      > Why haven't you taken the Yoga Pill yet?
Because it’s stretching for people who don’t know how to stretch and think it’s exercise.

I do about 20-30 minutes of mobility work a day. I target my actual deficiencies. I don’t waste time pretending to be a fricking tree.

      >Because it’s stretching for people who don’t know how to stretch and think it’s exercise.
I'll bet you couldn't stay in the room for a 60 min hot yoga class without tapping out.

Yoga is shit. It's not even exercise.
filled with easy fit 9s and 10s and not fat chicks
    Nope
    full flexibility and prevent injury
    >>have complete balance and coordination
You can do that with regular calisthenics. You don't need some imported Hindu religious ritual.
performance in every other athletic activity
Not at all. It's just a Hindu religious ritual with a variety of poses. It doesn't not improve performance. If you actually want to improve performance in any sport, you're better off just playing that sport or doing real exercises. If you're not a Hindu, there's no reason to do Yoga.
the mind to reduce stress and anxiety
Shutting off your phone or computer then reading a book, taking a nice hike, gardening, spending some time cooking a meal, or spending some quality time with loved ones do the same thing. They're all better for you.

Here's only yoga poses you need to learn with actual benefits:
    1. Vajrasana. (Knee sit)
    2. Dandyamana Brahmasana. (Bird Dog)
    3. Urdhvamukhasvanasana. (Upward Facing Dog)
    4. Balasana. (Child Pose)
    5. Bakasana. (Crow Pose)

Oh also lotus pose (noob meditation until you can do the Vajrasana for a long time) and corpse pose (resting posture.)

Literally skip all the BS yoga classes that teach you gymnastics, I would say the cat/cow pose is good for opening your spine flexibility but only for the first few times you practice yoga.

I've been pushing hot yoga on here for awhile. Show me somewhere else I can have my shirt off in a hot room in close proximity with mostly in-shape and good looking women and not get looked at funny. It's a legitimate workout too. Been going for 3 months and have already gotten numbers and one of the instructors definitely wants some D. The physical benefits of it are just the cherry on top. Granted the hardcore yogi's are kind of crazy, but I dealt with worse when I went to a high school of rich kids who's parents were never around.
