Because we were meant to be outside doing it or playing a sport or building shit and not standing in place jogging inside a room.
Jogging outside in america sucks in most places too cuz of all the shitty stretched out asphalt deserts.

listen to a podcast or a book. I started running with podcasts because I walked a lot with them and music got too boring and switching between the two seemed like hassle turns out it's not so bad. Now I can run for a solid hour without being too bored. I kind of miss treadmill/bike + TV but I could never push myself hard make it good cardio.

I don't like to jog or run outside, i look like a fricking clown and i'm paranoid i pant and wheeze like crazy if i have headphones on and can't hear it. Walking isn't cardio at all and at home jumping around is crap. I wish cardio wasn't necessary.

Run at 4 am if you're a scared. I run at night because frick sun damage. By the time I'm done coffee and donut places are opening up so I swing by those often pretty comfy. In the last 3 or 4 months I've started to see more people walking and running at this hour a lot of them are fat. Don't worry about it so much the heavy breathing stuff goes away in a couple weeks.

          >Run at 4 am if you're a scared
Then I'm scared of all the nightcrawlers and drunkards. Also I wake up at 8 to go to work.

there's literally no one not even drunk drivers at four am. I can run down the center of the road if it's too cloudy/moonless to see skunks for me. No Black folk, no crack heads, no homeless winos it's usually one of the coldest hours of the day too it's a pretty all around great time to exercise.

        >jogging
        >out of breath
EVERYONE IS OUT OF BREATH DOING CARDIO
If you're not, you're not doing it right. I have asthma and sometimes it flares up after a set at the gym. Being out of breath or "panting" is just a sign you pushed yourself hard enough. Don't be embarrassed by it. The only time someones gonna judge you for panting is if you're a fat ass trying to do a simple task like walking through a store, if you're purposefully doing cardio no one is going to judge you even if you are fat for trying to get in better shape.

I know they are, but I don't want people to see me out of breath. I already look like a freaking sewer dweller (not fat anymore but just ugly) and anymore attention to me makes me cry. I don't want to draw any attention to me, running and wheezing makes people go "what is that?" and then they look around, notice me and make me feel like an animal.

It isn't. You're just boring. You have nothing interesting to think about. All you do is consoom. If you're not consooming something, then life is boring for you. Because you're a boring homosexual.

I wish I could combine cardio and reading books. It's impossible to jump or even run at place while reading, only thing that would work is squats but that messes up liftings or calf raises but that isn't intense enough even with weights

if it's just a cbz file or whatever you can open that pdf viewer with that extension. And have it do a time slide-show mode. I think foxit even has a comic book mode.

I'd probably use a widescreen tv for comics but more or less yeah. Get a foam jump mat or something so your don't ruin your knees or floor. And do like a interval routine at first.
              something like
              1:30 jumping 1:00 running in place x 8-10
then after a little while graduate to like
              2:00 jumping 0:30 running in place x8-10
after that seems easy just cut out of the running in place. Once that seems easy we do like burpees or something every couple of minutes.

do it 3 days a week for a few months between going every other day. Then 2 days on 1 off in 6 months.

Isn't running in place really no workout at all? On par with casual walking?

it's really only there for you to catch your breath but keep your HR and bp up. It's like training to run with intervals of walking and running. It works.

I now can tippy toe jump for ~10 minutes at a time max for 30 minutes every other day, with lifting in between. I don't like it, but can manage with it but I don't know if it's enough of cardio

                Anonymous

30 minutes every other day or 15 minutes every day is enough. Idk check your heart rate if it's below 60% of max_safe_heart_rate it's probably not enough.

My max is (I think) 192, and I get around 135 while jumping around.

Whatabout lifting then? It really ups my heart rate, am I doing too much by lifting and then on rest days do 30 mins of cardio?

                Anonymous

no that's totally fine. The only reason to "rest" on cardio or have off days is because it takes connective tissue so long to adjust. The vascular part improves so much faster.

I can read anime subtitles on a 40 inch screen while running on a treadmill or jumping rope. You could probably hook up your laptop to a projector or large enough display and find like an auto scrolling script or text file to marquee thing. Just so you don't lose your place a lot from looking at too many lines at once.

It's not. Stop doing "cardio" as in run on a treadmill or use a stationary bike. Walk to the gym, walk to the supermarket, take bike ride to pick up that package you ordered etc.

Incorporate it to your regular day-to-day life. I never do "cardio" and I have amazing cardiovascular health and lowest bodyfat I ever had. Much lower than when I forced myself to go on a stairmaster and when I used car to drive everywhere etc.

Boring? Running is pure suffering. I mean that literally. There's no technique. No physical resistance. It's all mental. Whether you're able to overcome your gasping lungs and dragging feet is 100% up to how much suffering you can endure. Incredible stoic gains.

you might have asthma or something running shouldn't feel like that.
