It’s very low calorie compared to other alcoholic beverages, it’s remarkably low to zero sugar, and you’re sophisticated as frick. Not to mention it being well above 40% it’s gonna get you fricked up.

Personally, I chug cheap fortified wine once a month and go on an unhinged bender. Yes, I do live in Australia. Other than this massive binge, I don't drink alcohol.

Actually because of the distillation process true bourbon contains no sugar that our body can use. You can check usda information on classification on what makes a bourbon and such if you like

You can't store alcohol, though, as it's toxic. If you drink distilled spirits neat and on an empty stomach you will not gain weight.

Oh, and of course is low in sugar, its calories are entirely from alcohol. because your friends, and most people you now are soft homosexuals with no palate or appreciation for nice things(i'll assume your drinking good bourbon and not trash).

depends on how sensitive you are to flavors and if/how you mix it. for old fashions and mixed with a splash of water, they're very worth it. if it's with coke/ginger ale/whatever, then it's not worth it

Loved me whiskey when I was an alcoholic but I couldn't hide the scent. Needed to use vodka.

Being a fit buff though and possessing an unexceptionally high tolerance for booze though you can't fit alcohol in your cutting diet. To be wasted the entire day I would need 1500cals of whiskey. It's just not possible to fit that into your diet. I know the lightweight folks can though. If you can get drunk off a few shots of liquor you can definitely fit it into your diet.

Btw whiskey > gin > vodka > brandy > beer

I'm not much for sweet spirits. I like ryes, but bourbon, rum, brandy, etc. are all unappealing to me. I like vodka, the Islay shit, tequila, and wine. Beer is also very good but a lot of styles now seem to be too sweet for me as well.

Bourbon blew up in like 2013. I remember working at a liquor store and seeing buffalo trace slowly disappear, then the price hike of the Jap whiskey. Bookers steadily becoming more expensive and rare. Sad times

all imports from asia increased in price dramatically because of Californian lock down laws and them basically being main gate keeper between asia and the US. Also have to put cancer stickers on anything contains flour to legally move it through the state so there's a ton of artificial delay in the supply chain that makes it even worse. If it wasn't for California it would nikka whiskey's would still be about $60 a bottle

I wonder what the next liquor trend will be. Back in 2000 tequila and mezcal went from "shitty beaner vodka" to top of the line stuff. Irish whiskeys and blends are still pretty cheap for their quality currently

I think there's just going to be a long push of buying local. Beer, liquor, wine, don't matter. Whatever's local is best, and honestly I don't disagree with that for a lot of things. The best beer and wine I've had have been local, and the distilleries in my area really aren't terrible

I hate bourbon definitely more of a cognac/brady or scotch guy. It's not truly zero calorie it's more like your body can't really utilize other fuel sources while it's metabolizing alcohol so it just gets stored as fat. If you're going to to get fricked it and don't want it to affect your body composition don't eat for 8-12 hours before you start drinking. Still you're not burning fat while you're drunk so like if you're trying to lose weight not a good strategy.

Scotch or Cognac is the upper-class alcoholic's choice.
    Bourbon is middle-class
Rye, Vodka, or other cheap swill is low-class

realistically. how many calories are you consuming by getting properly fricked up. Say 3-4 drinks of hard liquor. I pour my coffee mug halfway full of crown and ice and have a nice time just sipping on that.

I just do NOT like whiskey, bourbon is even worse. I tried a few years ago to get some nice brands and learn to enjoy it, but I just can't. I actually love gin though, especially the more herbal ones. Hendrick's is probably my favorite of the ones I've tried. I only drink with friends now, I get bad hangovers and it makes me hate life

makers mark is good, but honestly most bourbons all have basically the same vanilla/caramel type of taste. never spend more than $40 on a bourbon because its not worth it. the only type of whiskey thats worth spending more money on is scotch, and even with that i wouldn't go more than $100. most scotches are good between the ages of 5-20. older scotches than that are usually too expensive and they're kind of a meme because the older the scotch gets the more it tastes like the cask and the smoother it gets, so you end up with some woody slop

so yea stick with makers mark and bourbon in that $ range, and with scotch try a deanston 12 if you want a good intro to a well balanced scotch

Tequila is a recent drink ive been going to. Bourbon, rum, vodka, congac etc all have things out there that are worth sipping.
