post 9/11 paradigm shift intelligently, maliciously deconstructed american life as we knew it and nobody stopped it.

kid on the right spent is junior and senior year of high school sitting at home on a zoom call surrounded by positive reinforcement for degeneracy and self destruction.

the cause is you failing to do the math to realize the 20-something year olds at the gym you larp in were born in 2000 and pretending they're all femboys and numales is the only way you can feel any kind of validation in your worthless life

I miss browsing the web in late 90s and early 2000s. IST is the only website that stays true to old internet.

I won't share my site here for reasons I don't wanna go in to, but basically I just have a comfy site that looks like it's from the 90s (to some extent). I just kinda put some pictures I made, links to cool shit, random thoughts, whatever. I also wrote some how-to articles that I hope at least a few people found useful.

It's not hard to do, it's comfy, and it makes the Web a little comfier too. You could use it for something else but this is what I use it for.

        >Always wanted to experience early and mid 2000s internet
        >Didn't have access to the internet until early 2008
Still, March 2008 to December 31st 2010 were the happiest times in my life and the best years for the internet, at least for me. Youtube was still fresh, the internet was still in a good growth spot, everything wasn't oversaturated, people had more creativity, more effort was put into things like video games, animations, hentai, technology, etc. Now we've reached a point of stagnation where people only try to make things "good enough". No one ever goes above and beyond anymore, and I hate it. I remember back in 2008 when I used to watch realistic 3d physics animations on Youtube and think to myself "I can't wait for the technology to be good enough to where these super realistic physics and graphics can be used in a game". And now it's 14 years later, and there hasn't even been an attempt to do such a thing, even though it's possible, because, again, people only care about making something be "good enough", instead of making it the best it can possibly be. It's just sad, bros...

        >stays true
IST is nothing but a hollow imitation of its old self and the internet as a whole back then. There is far less trust and far more disinformation being exploited now that people and corporations have realized how to fully exploit the niche of the fragility of information, and it has warped every single medium

Why all the doom and gloom, i was borne in '95.
Life nowadays is pretty good, and be real with yourself: when we look back to our 16-22 we were unironically clinically moronic and deranged at the same time. Zoomers to me seem pretty well grounded.

Everybody is an idiot at some point, but the difference is that back then it wasn't acceptable to be moronic, whereas now society promotes delusion and mental illness.

Whatever gay, zoomies are the most polarized generation in decades which makes them based. The more extreme the better.

This unironically. Anytime you see anything about pushing inclusivity, more than 2 genders, hormone therapy, etc there is always a common denominator.

    Picture is unironically true.
I have 2 zoomers at work, one is born in 1999 who I consider a close friend, and one born in 2000.
The one born in 1999 acts and speaks like I do (I'm 30), the one born in 2000 talks to me and it feels like there is a generation gap between us like between me and my grandfather.

It's worse if you're not a smartphone user. I credit IST with keeping me fluent enough to converse with transhumans, but daily living is getting increasingly challenging in a world that expects me to carry a cattle monitoring device in my pocket at all times.

There are two major inventions which frick civilisation.

The first is the Internet. The Internet itself isn't inherently a bad idea. The issue is how its used and how it gives instant gratification.

The second is the release of the smart phone in 2007. The instant 24/7 access to the Internet and all its evils has created a society that doesn't bring the world together as intended but creates little bubbles for people to seek out and stay in.

The internet is evil. I’m technically a zoomer by two months but I feel like I have nothing in common at all with them. Social media and smart phones have literally rotted their minds. Not to mention the feminisation of society, the collapse of education and culture, the poisoning of all our food and more. The future is bleak.
