How did you mess up a sentence with six words in it? Learn how to form basic questions in english ffs. Also kyokushin guys have a terrible guard against the most basic techniqe of all time: a punch to the head
>This, what when left hook enters the chat?
It's funny because in every single KarateCombat event some guy gets ktfo by a left hook. Makes no sense why karateka just straight up refuse to tuck their chins
>Also kyokushin guys have a terrible guard against the most basic techniqe of all time: a punch to the head
This is true, however GSP and Volkov are from kyokushin family, and Volkov still trains under Max Dedik sometimes
yeah it is I looked it up, also hitting people in the face is a foul

>yeah it is I looked it up
bro im not reading that i competed for years. you dont lose for knocking someone out >hitting people in the face is a foul
punching people in the face is a foul that is true, you can kick them
>hitting people in the face is a foul
This is big downside but from other side you have the only high rivalry sport with bare knuckles which actually teaches you how to condition them
That's only in shotokan aka point fighting karate. Kyokushin is full contact.

This nerdy looking guy could probably beat any kyokushin fighter on earth
>you realise an amateur mma fighter would maul the best kyokushin fighter in a fight? >you realise that an amateur boxer would do the same? >implying there is such thing as professional kyokushin
LMAO
>Why kyokushin fighters are so chads
I never implied such a thing. I referred to them as kyokushin fighters because OP did. You brain dead fart sniffer
Amateur mma fighter is total rubbish that does one day of striking, one day of grappling and one day of conditioning per week and doesn't able to do shit. He would lose to any specialist striker or grappler. In MMA only fighters with good base in something are relevant
I did some kyokushin tourneys back in the late 90s. It was fun as hell. I wish I would have kept going with karate but I moved cross country and let other shit get in the way.
Kyokushin is the one style of karate that isn't synchronized dancing or kiddie sparring where you get disqualified for making your opponent cry from hitting him too hard.
yeah >no punches to the head
but who cares every martial art or combat sport has its sports and limitations
>muh MMA
yeah exactly, the UFC championship history is full of kyokushin guys.
these styles like TKD and karate are very undefended against boxing and more "fighting" styles like kickboxing/MT, so i think the criticism is somewhat justified, but i dont think they're entirely useless, when they take the hands of the equation they specialize a lot more on fast high kicks and long spacing for example, its still extremely effective against an untrained hobo. i personally do MT but who says your style has to be able to beat other styles/arts to be valid/real? some people will prefer to larp in a gi and have more fun with that and get something out of it rather than not going at all.
Pretty much every martial arts ever, either way, Karate has actual self-defense separate from kumite fighting which is point fighting or competition fighting limited usually by no arm hits to face or takedowns etc. The idea is to take out the opponent with one strike "Ikken hissatsu" or to kill with one strike. That's where the whole idea of Ippon comes from. (Scoring a solid hit that would "kill" the other person in a real combat as in, disorient/kill/maim the opponent enough to make them quit the fight.
Im not using larp as pejorative and i respect karate for what it is, i think flexible snappy kicks are quite fine and the culture/tradition is cool, but dont tell me you have superb selfdefense beyond that unless you do proper fullcontact boxing and/or grappling, it doesnt really matter aslong as you have fun, progression and get fit doing it.

This, what when left hook enters the chat?
Also Rory won it all in the end, didn’t he?
Rory is living proof that you can outtrain being an autistic loser
So is GSP, and Zababi i think, they are all just autists fighting with the unideal, chaotic world.
>This, what when left hook enters the chat?
It's funny because in every single KarateCombat event some guy gets ktfo by a left hook. Makes no sense why karateka just straight up refuse to tuck their chins
Because that's how you get your head kicked fast with an axe kick.
Who is it?
Rory McDonald

godspeed, based schizo sperg rory
Don't you lose in Karate if you knock your opponent out?
maybe in some gay version of point karate, but not kyokushin
yeah it is I looked it up, also hitting people in the face is a foul

>punching people in the face is a foul
gay
lol what a joke
I read it and could not find it.
Bro are you moronic? In the link you posted it clearly says knockouts aren't prohibited
Also banned are
>grabbing your opponent in any way
>any throws
>avoiding attacks (running away)
>takedowns
>pushing
lol
>hitting people in the face is a foul

thicc necc is why
>kyokushin
Enjoy your brain damage. Shotacon is superior. Beautiful art form, great exercise. Karate is useless for self-defense anyway.
Attacker with gun was killed by kyokushin practitioner in Saint Petersburg
>Shotacon
you realise an amateur mma fighter would maul the best kyokushin fighter in a fight?
you realise that an amateur boxer would do the same?
YOU REALISE A COLLEGE WRESTLER WOULD DO THE SAME?
YOU. REALISE. A. FRICKING. THAI. BOXER. WOULD. EAT. HIM?
Why would you ever revere this b***h sport? frick you I hope you have a bad day you katana sporting waste of semen.
probably, karate for mma pretty based though. The karate guys at my gym that make it work are fun to watch.

I'm saying all kyokushin fighters are amateurs
Professional kyokushin is K1 and K1 fighter would absolutely beat the shit out of thai or regular boxer
>YOU REALISE A COLLEGE WRESTLER WOULD DO THE SAME?
Not fair, wrestling beats everything
The only problem with MMA is the reliance on gloves in the ring and prohibiting all the classical martial arts shit that will frick you up.
Idk if you ever fought in 8oz gloves but they don't offer much protection. Not allowing kicks/knees to a grounded opponent really changes the game tho

What am I in for?
An ass whooping, better get prepared.
I'm 6'5 235 but untrained, they are going to definitely beat the shit out of me. lol. I can feel it coming
