why lift when it's about socioeconomic status?

I was born in an upper middle class household in a non anglo country, went to a private school and then went to a target university to study engineering.

Years ago I was called to be an election monitor with 4 other people, 3 of them women of lower/middle class. Needless to say, people there saw me as a GOD due to my socioeconomic status, and the women would not stop hitting on me even thouh they had bfs!

I think instead of focusing on lifting you should work on your career and network with people of a better social class and learntheir accent, mannerisms, etc. I'm not saying don't lift, I'm just saying it shouldn't be your priority.

You're thinking like a woman. The best way to gain socioeconomic status is through lifting.

If you're strong enough, then you'll be able to know what to do.

I want to see the webm of all those (women) nurses showing their near-zero bank account balances. It's amazing the lack of basic willpower people have to be anything but broke.

Why do you larp as anything other than a poor peasant? Does your family own a means of production, as in they’re shareholders? If not then you’re a peasant

What watches does your dad own? What cars do your parents drive?

If you were really upper middle class you would have some fricking humility because you are nothing but a servant to the ultra wealthy. you will bleed your family dry if you start slumming It up

I had the same upbringing and engineering schooling, yet I am still a poor peasant compared to the shareholders of the firm I work for. They earn $1k per product sold, I earn 0.001 that.

    >I'm not saying don't lift, I'm just saying it shouldn't be your priority.

There's definitely an optimal stopping point for these things, beyond which additional hourly investments offer such diminished marginal returns you're better off addressing other areas of life.

But relative to most of the world that's still a huge devotion. Eating right most of the time, sleeping well, taking care of yourself should happen kind of regardless of lifting. Lifting-wise you probably should, you can probably sneak by with 15 efficient minutes once you're in shape with 30-60 minutes of cardio most days. You'd kind of do the cardio regardless for life gains and sleep gains.

But yeah there's definitely a stopping point with this. Trying to be an IFBB pro is pretty dumb. Making it look like you have the biggest fricking pump ever and are super super jacked is kind of dumb. Being very solidly built and lean though is a pretty good point to be at.

I think it depends on your occupation. If you're a door to door salesman it's a way better investment to groom yourself and look your best because attraction, charisma, and social skills are what you will rely on in those fields. But if you're a data analyst it doesn't really matter as much. You should still be IST, I truly believe everything you do to improve your appearance just makes your life easier so you'd be moronic not to

This thread is stupid, gay, and pointless.
But it made me think of something. Around here, to be a member of the liberal elite you need to run 5ks and eat organic. I don't know that any of them lift and I get the feeling that showing up with big muscles would be like driving up in a lifted Dodge Ram and a MAGA hat. It's just a different class signifier that goes against their values (socially progressive, non traditional masculinity, old anglo self denial). Does anyone know what I mean?
