      fpbp, also with deadlifts you get much more of a compound movement that will work your quads, your core, your upper back to some extent, and your arms/grip--- it's really a whole body exercise when done correctly, maintaining tension in your upper back, torso, glutes, and legs obv. hip thrusts are for women in heat, really looking to show off what they got in a not so subtle way. It's for the sort of people who--- if it existed--- would do a weight machine that has you down on all fours with an arched back and a cable attaching from behind you to a belt through your crotch, and you lift the weight by throwing your ass back and forward like you're getting pounded doggystyle

        Dealift is an awful lift for hypertrophy and is so fatiguing it ruins the rest of your workout.

    You should do both. Rear foot elevated split squats too. Glutes are the best. Better athletic performance crossover from hip thrusts than bench press.

          I am 6'4 wrestler 115kg only deadlift 240kg, tried hip thrusts one day for lulz and was able to thrust 280kg for 5 reps.

          I guess it just depends entirely on your body & how youve been using it.

    Worrying so much about how you're gonna look to other people, like many people do in this thread, is pretty gay. But hip thrusts are great as an accessory to the deadlift, not as a replacement of it.
