Hoodies and sweat pants are a thing BECAUSE there is air conditioning in the gym. How are you supposed to work up a sweat when you're cold?
If you dont see the value of sweating, you aren't IST, and this shit thread may as well be off topic.
homie air conditioning means air conditioning. You're conditioning the air indoors to keep it at a comfortable temperature when the climate outdoors is either too hot or too cold.
It's winter here and when I go to the gym I leave my hoodie at the front desk, work out, sweat my ass off and then wear it on again on my way out.
Why would I wear it in the meantime? The temperature inside the gym is always stable.
>How are you supposed to work up a sweat when you're cold?
I've never had a problem sweating in shorts and a tanktop, you're probably dehydrated dude, or not working out nearly as hard you you think you are.
Saw a guy like this before it became a zoom zoom trend. Looked he has basketballs in the sleeves. I don't get it because lifting makes me sweat even I do it in an igloo, but he's like twice my size so I live and let live.
Imagine going to a gym with air conditioning. I'm trying to condition myself and I ain't about to pay for fat fricks to be comfortable while they pretend to work out.
Am I autistic? Maybe. Is it my undiagnosed ADHD? Who knows.
I use a hoodie and more often a hat in social situations as a crutch/cope for anxiety. They act like blinders like for a horse. I can keep focused and keen on my objective. Without them my mind wanders and my thoughts multiply uncontrollably. Ironically I'm going bald so I don't wear either anymore so I can enjoy the 5-10 years of hair I got left. The difference is big for me in regards to anxiety. But damn if I'm gonna not enjoy my hair while I can.
>me, i'm a lone wolf I don't see other people in public. When i'm in my zone, me element, I can't even detect you. You walk up to me and as "how many sets I have left" I just keep working. Putting in work thats all I understand, I literally can't even see anything around me.

I don't get it at all. Wearing layers while lifting heavy is the most un-fricking-comfy thing ever, holy shit. Why would you hotbox yourself on purpose instead of letting your body breathe and cool off
It helps if you're lifting heavy to keep you warm if you're taking breaks between sets (as you would be for high effort sets of 3 or 5 at heavy weights for example). There are other reasons as well, like I personally just find it more comfortable.
morons thinking it makes them look hard
Why are you like this?
The only correct answer
Nah it's morons trying to look hard like some sort of 90s rap album cover.
it can be comfy
pump cover
This… so much.
I wear one because when I’m at the gym I want to think I’m weak AF and have no muscle. It inspires me to lift more and go 100%.
Probably some underlying body dysmorphia going on there, but hey if I wanted therapy I wouldn’t be at the gym now would it.
helps to warm up especially if there is AC
I wear an oversized hoodie so I can jack off underneath it between reps. I Love big butt gym bawds
tranroids off cycle or hiding acne from roids
in extreme cases its just to have an excuse to hide baldness
Must everything in this life be an excuse or a cope, cant a man just like the garment?
Literally this
It's for your sake, OP.
Gotta hide the gains so bitter dyels like you don't feel quite as inadequate.
But what about those super swole dudes that wear a mix of a tank top and a g-string?
Not everyone is so considerate
maybe they dont care what you think and this dude is probably sponsored by gasp
>maybe they dont care what you think
Like a tripgay would know
>Makes you sweat more
>keeps your joints feeling comfy for warmups
>stops the prostitutes from mirin too hard
Generally its fat people creating an illusion of aesthetics
It’s so I don’t have to shower for a few days. Need something to tame the stank a bit.

I envy drycels. I walk around drenched my entire workout and it’s so uncomfortable.

Lmao based hoodie bringing his pissbottle to the gym

Fatties hide their fat

Shy bodybuilders that don't want people to see their massive muscles *blush*.
Is that Guy Cisternino in the pic? I hate that motherfricker.
Warmups bro
It signals “frick off” so you can lift in peace without dyels incessantly trying to chat with you.
People who go to the gym suffer from severe mental illnesses just like you do, body dysmorphia and autism usually being some of them
some morons say it helps them warm up and prevent injury but it's just moronic bs
and this
Wearing a hoodie is great for getting a solid pump in.
I wear a hoodie only because I have gyno and don’t want my nipples poking through my shirt
Dat feel, dude get surgery it is the best fricking feel i swear on me mum m8
since your body temp stays higher you burn more calories is what i always thought it was
>worrying this much about what other gym goers are wearing
>acknowledging the presence of others in the gym at all
>ngmi
>me, i'm a lone wolf I don't see other people in public. When i'm in my zone, me element, I can't even detect you. You walk up to me and as "how many sets I have left" I just keep working. Putting in work thats all I understand, I literally can't even see anything around me.

Based and pisschugpilled
There is an idea
>Sweat more
>Burn more calories
Thus a sweatshirt.
>noooo cardio will kill my gains because I'm burning calories
>I'm gonna wear a hoodie to burn more calories
