The amount of men in the early/mid 20s I see going around and in my friend group who are visibly receding or outright balding is insane. I was in a group of 5 different guys aged 22-35 at work and all of us had receding hairlines. There's no way it was this bad in the past, right?
What's the cause? Is it exercise? Because it happens to fit guys too. Diet? Alcohol? We know zoomers drink less than ever, and I feel like people ate even worse in the past. That was with smoking, too. What can we even do about this?
it's all the testosterone
Bullshit. We wouldn't see so many limp wristed weak chinned soiboys in their 20's balding like we do today if that were the case.
it's genetics
frick pennsylvania
Frick you
cope
Pennsylvania is basically two cities and a bunch of farms sandwiched between them
That's part of why it's so great.
In a nutshell
Yeah cus Pennsylvania is fricking awesome. Unlike your gay ass which is just two cheeks with a bunch of dicks sandwiches between them.
Frick you PA is the shit
I can understand where you're coming from.
But frick you.
Do you have any idea what I'm going to do to you know you sexy little frick face
while we're at it, frick pennvania as well!
My guess would actually be sleep
>There's no way it was this bad in the past, right?
Why not?
societal decay. but men with great hair rule the future
Balding is inversely indicator of status and money. Zoomers are fricked. They control less the. 1% of all money, and are generally bottom of the hierarchical structures that take place in the last~60 years. People live longer. There are outliers for sure, but you're a gay - whoever you are, wherever you are - so you don't deserve a detailed explanation.
Metabolic stress. Everyone is avoiding sugar and drinks nut juices instead of milk.
Idk man, I have had a mature hairline since 10 years old and even that receded about 5cm. 22 right now
I'm inclined to believe this is an element of it, people's diets are absolutely fricked and everything you consume is lathed in a chemical wienertail. Cancer of the stomach and bowels is at an all time high. Overconsumption is also an element, people eat too much and too heavy and while it grows them, it takes a toll on their body, especially combined with the more "contaminated" food.
The polynesians never had access to milk up until recently and have very low rates of balding. It's genetics
I don't get how balding is seen as something bad/unattractive when it happens to so many men. You'd think with how common balding is it would be seen as a sign of being mature or masculine, rather than being seen as embarrassing. Humans are interesting.
it happens more to unhealthy men. of course it's unattractive.
common is the inverse of attractive
Low testosterone causes DHT production to increase to compensate. Testosterone levels keep falling for reasons no one knows. Probably related to diet and sedentary lifestyles though. If zoomers have DHT instead of testosterone during puberty they end up hairy and bald with pimples and high pitched voice.
>hairy and bald with pimples and a high pitched voice
I'm not hairy, have a full head of hair as of now at 18, have clear skin, and a deep voice. What does this mean?
congrats, you had a normal male puberty, you're gonna make it. you can still go bald but it will be when you are old as is usual.
I'm still kinda anxious about it. I doubt I'm ever gonna go really bald because my dad and mom's dad still have some hair, but I still get anxious about balding.
>Some hair
Testosterone keeps falling because most modern food is tainted with onions oil that stimulates estrogen.
Testosterone and estrogen work in tangent, if one goes up the other goes down.
Lol onions oil not onion, autocorrect trying to censor my free speech.
At this point I can't tell whether you really are this much of a newbie or you're just baiting me into calling you a newbie, but in the end both pretending to be moronic and actually being moronic have the same outcome.
I saw a guy do that once, he got out of the seat and stood up, we were all shouting "no!" and then he fell back through the tarp and flew back like fifty feet and died I think.
>autocorrect
It's a word filter, newfriend.
People aren't eating that much söy, moron
test levels drop because everyone is a blob of fat you fricking morons
>Testosterone levels keep falling for reasons no one knows.
Everybody knows why. Obesity and microplastics
>Low testosterone causes DHT production to increase to compensate
not how it works
balls make test. 5a-reductase turns it into DHT. aromatase turns test into estrogen. if you're balding you have a lot of 5a-reductase and youre also probably fat as shit so all your T is converted into bald juice and mantit juice, hence the phenotype of the average man
Your sensitivity to DHT is a major factor, and that is purely genetic. The amount of DHT in your system only becomes relevant to hair loss if you are already genetically prone to be sensitive to DHT. So the effect of obesity is probably marginal.
Fin to reduce DHT and arrest the process that's damaging the follicles, minox and maybe micro needling to stimulate regrowth. All other solutions are snake oil.
So more sleep won't help? I've started minox a few months back but haven't seen any improvements. I had a friend look at my scalp and he can see all of the little hair holes, so I guess the follicles are still there? I have a lot of baby hairs where my hairline has receded, does that mean I can still grow adult hairs?
idk man everyone is just making shit up as they go
We are being attacked from every possible angle by globohomo. They want a docile class of wage slaves without the testosterone fueled rage needed to fight the machine. Microplastics, heavy metals, fluoride, and more poisons. Feminism, sissy hypno, masculinity shaming, unchecked liberalism, gayshit in movies and tv, traditionalism/right wing suppression. That’s just a drop in the bucket of shit being thrown at us daily.
balding has always been a thing, mid 20s through early 30s has always been the normal age range to start balding
High-PUFA, high-carb/sugar diets and way too much processed food. Did you know that a high-sugar diet during puberty reduces testosterone and increases estrogen? Now you know why girls are getting bigger breasts and asses while men are getting weaker and balder. It's not hormones in the water or in the meat, it's all the fricking high-carb, high-PUFA processed junk everyone's been eating more and more over time.
Oh, and it's why b***h breasts on dudes is more common than ever, increased estrogen means feminine fat development, so dudes are getting more fat on their hips and pecs during puberty.
>Did you know that a high-sugar diet during puberty reduces testosterone and increases estrogen?
Source: dude trust me lmao

Who was the image made for
Idk, I am balding pretty badly at only 23 years old. At this point I am even balder than my dad. My granddad didnt lose his hair till after his thirties so I dont think its genetics. I have a decent diet and workout regularly. I dont think masturbation and/or porn causes baldness either. Any suggestions for preventing further hairloss?
How has your sleep been?
Honestly pretty bad, I regularly wake up 5 or 6 times a night.
How many hours do you average? You're probably stressed out and sleep deprived, that could be causing the hair loss
I go to bed for 8 or 9 hours a night, I wake up like 5 or 6 times a night and maybe lose an hour of sleep because of that. Maybe I dont get enough deep sleep though.
>I wake up like 5 or 6 times a night
You are sleep deprived, your sleep is low quality and worthless.
Guess so, any tips?
These are steps I took which greatly improved my sleep:
>remove all caffeine and stimulants
Completely cut it out, not even in the morning. Caffeine/stimulants inhibit melatonin production so low melatonin producers can have sleep ruined even by a morning coffee.
>go to bed at the same time every night
>wake up at the same time every morning
This helps your body develop a consistent rhythm so you can get tired at the right time each night and be hormonally prepared for sleep.
>walk outside for ~20 minutes in the sun shortly after waking up
This kickstarts melatonin production. Contrary to what most people think, melatonin is produced slowly all day long and not just before bed time, so it's important to get full spectrum sunlight in your eyes to tell your body to get started on it.
If you do these things you'll set yourself up for much more consistent and deep sleep. You're waking up all the time because your body's hormonal cycles are out of whack.
Thanks bro, ill try it out
Not the same Anon but I'm gonna start doing this too. I miss feeling rested so much.
Jesus, I only sleep 6-7 hours a night and also wake up during the night frequently. What percentage of sleep needs to be deep sleep anyway? I'm NW2 approaching NW3.
>What percentage of sleep needs to be deep sleep anyway?
As much as possible. All sleep goes in cycles, not all sleep is deep, but you shouldn't be waking up in the middle of the night every night and you shouldn't feel unrested when you get up in the morning.
On an average night sleep I get maybe 1 hour deep sleep in total, my sleep tracker on my apple watch says. Pic related. What do?
>What do?
See:
>but you shouldn't be waking up in the middle of the night every night and you shouldn't feel unrested when you get up in the morning.
Nta but this is me the past 3 years.
I wake up so dead like I haven't slept but 3 minutes every single morning.
I wake up randomly a hour or two before wake up time almost always but sleep again pretty quickly.
I can't remember the last time I had restful sleep. Even if I sleep for 12 hours I wake up feeling dead tired.
Ehh I simply live with it
This is me as well, and I have accepted that I will never know what a good night's sleep feels like. Just gotta get up and go. Maybe people like us have a genetic affinity with caffeine or other stims? Cos I know I fricken love stims.
Microplastics and Vitamin D deficiency.
Dont think so, I have been supplementing vitamin D with high doses for a while now, and how do you even avoid microplastics in this day and age?
You can’t but you should not drink from plastic bottles to the best of your ability, filter your tap water, and eat less processed garbage
It’s called getting older you moron. You live in a time where people are hyper focused on their looks and cry at any sign of aging. Supply any evidence to show your claim
I noticed this as well, I'm 22, and like most of the guys I know are thinning or receding.
It's the vaccine
I'm 26 and my hair is noticeably thinning. What's weird to me is that once I started looking into various methods to prevent this, the guys discussing them have such an incredibly toxic self loathing mindset. Why are you even doing this if trying to keep your hair leads you to hate yourself to this extent? It almost makes me want to avoid this part of the internet completely and not even bother.
If you only have a receding hairline at 35 you're winning. It's like how everyone says you can totally be handsome while cueball bald, except it's actually true even if you're not bruce willis
27 and a slow recession right now. Started 2 years ago, but since my hair is dense it only shows when I cut it short. Probably going to try fin soon.
Bad idea. Fin is poison and will destroy your life. Conceal or shave.
>Conceal or shave
No
You got 2 options. shave your head and be a sex freak, or get hair plugs and be a sex freak
You mean huwhite men
22.5 Years Old
2 years ago I had beautiful curly hair
Now, barely anything grows on top of my head. It is truly over.
Keep your hair hydrated, especially people with curly hair. Mine fell out due to stress, lack of physical activity, too many hot showers and trying random products to keep my hair looking good.
Derma rolling barely works, I'm gonna miss my hair.
nah you didn't had "beautiful hair" 2 years ago
Care to provide proof? Sounds like you know it all.
guys can loose their whole head of hair in a year or even a few months
Diet and lifestyle is irrelevant.
>tfw 60 year old perpetually stressed meth abusing hobos have better hair than 20 year olds on finasteride+minoxidil
so what's causing it? who knows. maybe the bald guys are having a lot of reproductive success.
Poor diet, poor sleep, not getting enough sun and being on gear. The number of zoomers on PEDs is insane. This chubby manlet zoomer I know admitted to being on sarms last time I saw him, and he was fricking blasting it too.
Too little sunlight. Hair is designed as a protective layer against the sun <<<<< fact
This is like saying a shield withers away because it hasn't been hit with swords
bimp
I'm 34 and while my hairline is extremely slowly retreating up my scalp, my brother who is 38 looked way worse when he was my age. I found a picture of my dad age 31 today and he was already fully receded to the top of his scalp so I'm not doing too badly. Doing better than both of my grandfathers at my age as well.
I'm becoming more confident in the scalp tension theory by the day. It explains the genetic aspect and why mpb has a general pattern but progresses in different ways: your skull shape is genetic and determins the progression. It explains high dht levels and why reducing dht helps: dht is involved in healing and scaring. It even explains anacdotal stuff like bald men having tough shiny scalps. I challenge you to find a flaw in this theory. Doesn't fix anything of course scaring is still really Hard to deal with but "know your enemy" right?
>scalp tension theory
Lol
Wow what a great rebuttal, you sure showed him.
Why does botox halt or reverse MPB in many men?
It does the same thing as dermarolling. Now answer me how does retrograd alopecia or androgenetic female hairloss works.
Or how does a transplanted hair from the back of the head to the supposedly tense regions of your scalp doesn't fall off.
>Or how does a transplanted hair from the back of the head to the supposedly tense regions of your scalp doesn't fall off.
Sometimes it does. Hair transplants are not universally successful. Not all follicles survive transplant. If transplanted follicles aren't implanted to the correct depth, they die and are lost forever. It could be that the transplanted follicles in a successful operation are being placed deep enough in the scalp to ensure adequate blood flow, regardless of scalp scarring.
dont hair transplants require you to take fin to maintain results?
yeah or use derma pen once a week which is cheaper
Yes but only for a while to prevent rejection of the transplanted hair, after it fully grows in you can get off fin if you truly want to. Then if you do bald further it won't be from the grafted hair
Nope:
I once believed it too.
>There's no way it was this bad in the past, right?
Yes, it was.
It wasn't. When I was young, balding was a sign of old age or very, very bad health. Remember that Beatles song? When I get older, losing my hair / Many years from now...
t. Over 40, still full head of hair
Your personal recollections aren't evidence, anon.
Here's a college fraternity gathering from the 1960s. 3/5 men in the picture show a large degree of hairline recession.
Just Google "(decade) college students" and you'll see that most men have a similar degree of hairline recession as young men of today, or else they have ridiculous hairstyles that are deliberately hiding their temples the way zoomer brocoli haircuts do nowadays.
>3/5 men in the picture show a large degree of hairline recession.
lol
Covering your receding hairline with a fringe doesn't mean you aren't balding
You're schizo
So you think the hairlines I outlined show no recession at all? Lmao dude
youre guessing their hair line and recession is relative to where your hairline started. this shows nothing
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
that might be real poetic if the thing i was ment to see wasnt drawn in in ms paint. im not even necessarily disagreeing with you, this just isnt evidence of anything.
and i bet even you knows that doesent mean shit. people on this board are so deep into body dismorphia they start seeing it other people. reference, that guy /
>t. Nw3 loser coping that his hair is only in its "mature" stage
Wake up, their balding. Don't be delusional and naive
If those guys were the same age today and posted pics on IST they would be bombarded with OH NO NO NO and "just shave it off bro" replies
Low test
Constant stress
Gym and tainted fitness supplements (Look up the connection between balding and creatine/protein shakes)
This comes off as pseudo science but I believe it has a lot to do with the output/reward ratios men experience as well as diet, a man's character, etc.
I say output/reward because putting much out and not getting much back makes you feel bad, as does being apathetic, stupid, etc. All of those things are a detriment and your spirit knows it, and it creates stress in their lives. Mental issues let's say. Diet has been discussed and I can support that. I feel noticeably less driven after eating a fast food item.
With regard to character, your moral baseline, if you don't adhere to it well can wreck you too. So add internal conflict, bad diet/exercise, and a slew of other things and basically it just causes an entropic outcome on the body. Some is genetic too obviously but in my case this has been the observance. I'm also not bald, nor balding, but had a high stress point in which my hair line receded but after voluntarily de-stressing for a bit, fasting, etc. it came back quite strong.
20yo Zoomer who's been balding since early puberty here. My biggest guess is childhood trauma and all sorts of stress that us modern people, including (You), face everyday. It ain't that much of a problem tho unless you are a homosexual who thinks looks are everything. Tell me i cope how much you want but i stopped giving a shit some years ago cause there are much bigger problems than looks and le women
Pretty clear that you stopped giving a shit because you've accepted that you're hopeless and have no chance of ever being remotely attractive or getting women... lol
Yeah it was like that in the past, why do you assume it would not be? Your probably just used to seeing hairplugs and plastic surgery on tv and aren’t sure why you guys don’t look like that.
Hairlines are mostly genetics and stress. You can try finasteride/minoxidil to slow it down.
Men just bald, some do slower than others but you almost all will.
My source? I've worked in a nursing home for 3yrs in college
Does more sleep actually help with hair loss? I've been averaging 6 hours for a few years now. Do I need more?
pls respond, is it possible to save my hair?
I voted for Fetterman
Bros I need to start sleeping more, I don't want to lose all my hair. I still have hair holes so I think I can get it to grow back. I hope.
Your premise is flawed unless you can demonstrate that zoomers are balding more than boomers.
Balding is almost 100% genetic
