Will eating 4 hardboiled eggs a day give me enough protein to build muscle as a 165 lbs 5 foot 11 DYEL?

Will eating 4 hardboiled eggs a day give me enough protein to build muscle as a 165 lbs 5 foot 11 DYEL? I've been sticking to exercise for 3 months now but I want to switch away from protein powder because it's expensive, and I don't like scrambling eggs and it takes too long.

    >Protein in 1 egg: 7g
    >7x4=28
    >Recommended daily intake by FDA is 50g
    >Recommended intake for someone trying to make gains is 1g per pound of lean body mass so 165g for you.

Wtf. How do I eat enough protein then? Nothing but chicken? That's going to get really expensive. I thought the protein powder was a cheaper option then quickly realized it wasn't. But even if it was it wouldn't be enough it seems like.

I made a chart pre covid $ per gram of protein on several sources and honestly all were fairly close.
If you find stuff like canned tuna on sale that can be pretty cheap but if you have it too much enjoy your heavy metal poisoning.
Chicken thighs can be cheaper when on sale and the frozen stuff can be too. Maybe do door dash or something if ur too broke to buy food

you can make gains on .5g per lb of bodyweight, a protein shake with 18oz of milk will net you nearly 50g of protein, have 2-4 eggs and that's another 12-28g of protein depending on the size of the egg.
ou shouldn't rely on things like bars or peanut butter but you can get protein from them too. Frankly I would say that when you start out protein powder is like your first car, it's supposed to be shitty and cheap so you can get your base together and later on when you need something nicer you can upgrade.
Get the cheapest whey you can find on Amazon and use that until you get to a good weight with near 1/2/3/4.
I don't know how old you are but if you're some teenager, you can buy something like picrel on amazon and have protein powder for near 6 months if you just shell out the $130~ for 2 tubs. There are probably even better deals out there.
I'm not trying to shit on you but get out of DYEL territory before you bother with whey isolate or easier digesting whey

That's my problem, I don't know how to get out of there. I don't understand how these old times farmers were ripped as frick when they mostly ate wheat and eggs and maybe beef but even then that was expensive.

I started at 160 about a year and a half ago and am now 215, I made very little progress for the first year as I wasn't following a routine. Pick something basic like SS (not GOMAD) or greyskull and follow it, write down your lift numbers in a book so you know if you're progressing. It might seem complex to keep track of but you can just pick 5 exercises and rotate them when you want, for me it's OHP, squat, deadlift, bench and chinups/pullups

I've mostly done chinups and pullups, around 20 of each oer day. Plus crunches, aorund 100 but I'm gonna start doing them with 25kg plate so I cns do 25 to 30 instead. I know its a joke but I've been sticking to it and I'm getting muscle tone back so maybe I can start going to a real gym soon and not feeling like a waste of morning.

Don't listen to that homosexual. you only need 0.6-0.8g of protein per lean body mass.
You're 165lbs, that is not your lean body mass. At 5'11 lets assume you're about 15% body fat; that means your lean body mass is 140lbs.
So you need at least 84g of protein, but that's the very fricking least. Ideally eat about 110g of protein everyday; you can eat more if you want, but the benefits are negligible.

I have a job but I need to save money.

Cheaper cuts of meat (if you see discounted meat too just freeze it until the day you eat it) fresh and canned fish (sardines are a kino snack), dairy, eggs... Protein powder should be a supplement and not your main source of protein but its great for hitting your goals. Also, if you don't like scrambling eggs I don't know how to break it to you but you're gonna have to learn to cook.

I'll try to learn to cook. I just don't like the idea of getting myself too attached to expensive foods because of SHTF paranoid (meat would cost 10x as much without the federal subsidies)

If you're 28 and can't afford chicken or protein powder I would put my exercise efforts to the side and would concentrate on getting a better job.

Turns out he did americore. It's like the peace core but states only. They give you housing and a tiny bit of money for living. No idea why one would do that, RIP retirement fund.
