I very much doubt that. I'm assuming that since Germany is a 1st world country they have first world resources. Your college probably receives alumni donations in addition to any other monies for tuition and employed alumni tend to donate more than unemployed alumni

Don’t listen to people about networking for tech jobs, they have no idea what they’re talking about. I have a degree in electrical engineering as well.

What gets you a tech job is acing the interviews. Having a connection just gets you the interview. I had 0 internships and used 0 connections out of college and I landed a six figure job 2 months out of school. If you are graduating from a good school and actually learned shit then review, study and ace the interviews.

I'm about to start electrical engineering too, how smart at math do you need to be? I can figure stuff out usually but my uni wants you to have taken calculus courses. I did plan on doing what

This is why anyone who’s not a moronic EE took all the CS courses through algos and data structures. I graduated with an EE degree and I’m an embedded systems engineer and make more than any CS major I know who graduated the same year. Learn to leverage your EE skills + coding skills. Those jobs will always and forever be in demand.

said of doing CS courses as well

You don’t have to be good at math but you have to be prepared to work very hard to become good at math. You’ll need to take every calculus class, and differential equations and linear algebra.

After that you’re applying all that math depending on what you focus on. Signals will be a lot of integration, Fourier transforms and series, trig. E&M will be lots of vector calc, circuits will be differential equations and linear algebra, machine learning will be linear algebra and a mix of calc. Basically whatever route you choose to focus in will be different sets of math, but you need to be generally adept in all of it.

If you want to get away with being a moron and doing engineering go just do pure CS. The salary floor is higher for CS but the ceiling is also lower than a good electrical engineer. So if you have low faith in your abilities either transfer into CS or do EE and focus all your electives and depth choices in CS. If you do the latter you’re actually more marketable than a normal CS Person.

            Anonymous

I'll probably do the latter method then, since I know for certain there'll be a large number of zoomers younger than I getting CS degrees right after me to flood the market. I've thought about computer engineering as well since, at least at my uni, it requires many similar classes to electrical engineering like the actual ece intro class. And Comp E deals with low level stuff which I'm pretty fond of.
Pure CS could be viable with increased competition if I just grab some certs though, but that might not be entirely needed since a lot of the kids in HS in comp sci couldn't code for shit and followed tutorials entirely for their projects without understanding a thing

    >go to work
    >after work lift or do martial arts (bjj, muay thai, wrestling etc)
    >read
    >listen to podcasts
    >take my dog for a walk and hang out with my fiance
    >watch fights

Get some more hobbies you bum, also put in minimal work to your degree, you learn far more in the work force

      I am involuntary celibate.

It sounds pretty based to me, anon. Although, you forgot to include rest. Rest is essential. You do rest, right anon?

Studying is resting from working out and working out is resting from studying.

        >Studying is resting from working out and working out is resting from studying.
That's nonsense, anon. Watching a movie, reading a book, playing a videogame etc, that's rest. Working out - the name literally has work in it. You're working out to improve your health, therefore you're working.
Cooking is also a form of work. Not to say it's not enjoyable, but it's still work.

I used to read an hour before going to bed every day but I always felt like reading is useless and not better than just consuming empty netflix shows. When I study all day at least I feel like I am going somewhere.
          >inb4 read better books
          I only read classic lit.

It's complicated, but the tl;dr is that Humans will never be allowed to program anything or invent computational hardware ever again. (That's the tl;dr ; such things will still occur but it will be "supervised")

you Americans are always not content with having average stuff. you never appreciate what you have, period. the moment your life starts feeling average, you're ready to fricking have a nice day. the moment your wife starts looking average, you divorce. when your food tastes average, you throw it in the garbage, because you need your tastebuds stimulated to extremes with sugar and fat. your diet must be some meme diet or else basically why live. your women also have unrealistic standards of a 6ft guy with a 6 pack making 6 figures, because you ALL have moronic demands and standards.

    >go to gym
    >cook food so i get enough protein
    >study
    >browse IST rest of the time
    >meditate before bed
    >sleep
Idk how you guys work a 9-5, I barely do anything and I feel like the day is too short to really get anything done then it’s time to sleep. Crypto at least gave me a few years of comfort.
