Ju jistu is probabaly comprable. But if you have some knowledge on grapling, you can nulify some of your openents grappling and capitalize on striking. I wouldnt say it mogs other martial arts, most of the mainstream martial arts are reputable. And since most people arent going to get in a fight (and if your an actual martial artist you will try hard to de escelate foghts) then people should choose what they find the most fun.
Jiu Jitsu is good as an art but as a competitive structure it's lacking. Jiu Jitsu is held up by clubs which need to entice you which mean a lot of the competition is a bunch of onions boys or lazy frickers with 0 conditioning work. Judo better.
I definetly agree, finding a good jui jistu place is hard because it definetly hit the mainstream. Finding a good mma gym would be the best in my opinion. You get the best of everything and some you can specialize in whichever art you like the most. And you can even participate in ju jistu tournaments on the side.
Jiu Jitsu doesnt even scratch the takedown defense needed to protect against elite wrestlers, they would get slammed. Wrestling foundation with supplementary jiu jitsu training, now that is the best combo
Ummm, im not to sure. If you take an elite level wrestler and an elite jui jitsu guy, im not sure if the martial art will be the deciding factor. Id pit more of the factors on if the ju jistu guy can do decent enough against takedowns. Because then they are more dangerous on the ground. So id chalk it up to if the wrestler can take out the ju jistu guy woth a slam every time. If he can do that reliably against a comprable oponent then id say the wrestler wins. But performing that solid of a take down everytime is not a 100% thing
Wrestling is great, but sadly there are very few clubs/gyms for adults to learn/compete in wrestling. It’s mostly aimed for youth. Which is why BJJ is the main alternative in most areas, for better or worse
Easier said than done. The past 30 years of MMA competition has proven otherwise. Muay Thai guys generally get fricked up in mma. Having a clinch is no good if you're useless in real grappling, and the square stance sucks against takedowns. Against untrainedgays it's probably fine though, and of course it's a good skillset to have with how much leg kicks matter.
>Having a clinch is no good if you're useless in real grappling
UFC outlawed the use of vertical elbows, which are a staple of Muay Thai. Of course the clinch is going to be useless when rules have neutered the hell out of it. It's also illegal to knee people in the face when they are on the ground, so scooty butt bjj tards also get a free pass from getting fricked up by one of Muay Thai's best moves.
When you have to outlaw a martial art's most devastating moves in order to keep the competition fair, then that should tell you everything you need to know about the strength of that martial art
You don't use vertical elbows in a clinch, and you can literally use the exact same elbow as long as it's modified in any way. It's a complete meme rule with no effect on fights unless you're moronic.
Other organizations like Pride, ONE, and Rizin all allows grounded knees and kicks yet wrestling is still king.
Back in Pride days when they allowed every type of ground strikes including stomps, it was actually the time when people pulled guard and did jiu jitsu bullshit the most. If anything modern MMA favors strikers because they stand you up if you try laying down and do grappling bullshit
>If anything modern MMA favors strikers because they stand you up if you try laying down and do grappling bullshit
Also because takedowns and control time are barely scored anymore outside of close rounds.
Yeah thats not how that works. If your going for a take down your not just leaping in from a mile away. Most of the time your coming in grabbing and putting your oponent off balance. You moron dont know how martial arts works and its showing. And im not the "wrestling mogs" guy. I have no dog in the fight, your just fricking stupid
This is the stupidest thing I've heard, how is wrestling not fighting like a man??? Why would I ever want to get brain damage from striking that's ape tier shit

No it's not. Early UFC bouts and other similar organizations were proof entirely that grappling beats striking
People from the hood although very comfortable with violence can't fight because they windmill at each other and wait until someone gets kod.. I grew up in this environment too and was ashamed to use my wrestling in fighting until I got my face beat up because of stupid pride. I started grabbing people, slamming them and pounding them after. Never even came close to losing after until I fought another guy who was a bigger person that liked to wrestle, I just circled him and would hit his face and body and let him lift me after a couple minutes of that. I got up though and he tried to take me down again with a double leg but I sprawled and hit his kidney as hard as I could many times until he buckled. Toughest mfer yet, but only because he was bigger and wrestled like me. Wrestling mogs. If you know submissions even better. Hardest street people I know don't want to fight me because they know I'll grab them and btfo them. I lift everyday too.
You're also not allowed to piledrive someone. The rules exist to take out moves that are disproportionately damaging compared to their fight ending potential, especially to areas like the spine, back of the head, eyes, mouth, and assorted orifices.
Thinking there's a wrestling bias in the rules is fricking ridiculous when the meme scoring criteria don't even allow you to win by wrestling alone if the other guy landed a couple more punches.
They arent even elbows, hes just hitting with his forearm and the other guy is still awake after taking them.
Firstly, moron. Second, your brain doesn't care what part of the arm is being slammed into your head.
>name 1 martial art that's better.
ufc
Ufc isnt the martial art moron
Then why is it used all over the world? Check mate

Muay Thai.
>Wrestler comes in low

Didn't they only ban 12 to 6 elbows? I thought 6 to 12 was still legal

Muay thai wins again, what can I say
spoiler. it's only 8 minutes long because the muay thai homie lost the exact moment wrestling and jiu jitsu was introduced
This is just sad. Stupid wresting homies cant fight like a man so they try do lame and gay homosexual shit instead.

Or could just drop and elbow into the back of their head. But pretty sure UFC wrestling homos dont allow that.
