      the problem with powershitters' """physiques""" boils down to them treating necessary isolations as mere accessories in the end producing an X-taper with a relatively developed torsos
      >binarizing individual response to volume
      extremely moronic, many homosexuals respond as well if not better to less volume and higher load for muscle growth than the archetypical hypertrophy regimen, the problem arises when le trainee isn't responsive to it besides strength gains producing the Rippetoe's abomination in the picrel

      Oh my god...that's exactly what I did when I was at my peak physique after my gf left me. Now that I think of it it might have just been the biggest mistake of my life right before not investing in crypto

    newbie here
    is 3x10 better in order to get leangains?

  4. 1 year ago
    Anonymous

    3x10 is for hypertrophy, which means it breaks down muscles more and therefore you grow back bigger, but this means you'll be weaker than if you maxxed out weights and did 5x5.

      5x5 = strength gains
      3x10 = hypertrophy gains
      4x7.5 = no gains

    There is literally no reason that you can't do both, and get the benefits of both.

    Bulking when I was a noob, bulking took me from a 150lb 6'1 body to a 170lb one. I'm glad I didn't try to recomp at the same weight like an idiot

      Same experience as you basically. Gained 40lbs, literally just made me look like a normal person whereas before I was a holocaust survivor (6'3" 145-155lb. -> 190lb.). Since then have gained about 10-15lb more but now I'm starting to see the more negative effects of bulking

    >Guy on top
    started at 80kg bodyweight with 15% bodyfat and over 3 months cut down to 73kg weight and 10% bodyfat, his maxes on his compound lifts went down by about 10%
    >guy on bottom
    started at 80kg bodyweight with 15% and over 6 months bulked to 95kg with 22% bodyfat, his maxes went up by 20%

    They did the same exercises, the same number of reps, the same number of sets. The only differences between them are the guy on top ate a 400-500 calorie deficit while the guy on the bottom at a 400-500 calorie surplus, they ate the exact same meals the same macronutrient profile and both stay hydrated.
